Both are long gone. One of each headed to me. It took less time to get the gold than the silver. The AE's were tougher to get in my opinion. Amazed to see how many opted to pass and then see just how fast these sold out. I find the designs to be very nice, simple and clean as compared to most of the US Mint releases over the last few years.
The Mint can go suck an egg. LOL. They aren't worth the time. It's one thing to crack down on bots, etc. But when your site stops being navigable, you have to be a masochist to try and buy anything.
The people who wanted the Mint to have a "lottery" on limited issues got their wish. I hope you are enjoying the Lottery of the Masochists. LMAO

Interesting that with so many people saying they have no interest in this coin, the Mint site was just as bad a Friday, if not worse.
Don't be fooled by the Mint's ridiculous gateway. If you've got a pipe that only lets a mL of water through every minute, it doesn't make a difference whether there's 10 gallons or Niagara Falls on the other end of the pipe...you just see dribbles every minute.
If you collect gold coins, and you REALLY liked this one, then paying $800/ounce premium makes sense, I guess. If not, this was not a smart buy. Flippers have already been dropping their prices on EBay. The going rate seems to be around $1700-1800. After fees, that's not a windfall. Prices will only drop from here, IMHO. This is classic fear of missing out, like the toilet paper rush we just experienced.

I got that so many times on Thurs. What is it?? Computer guys/gals?
At a minimum it’s 1/2 Oz of 24KT gold.
Also it’s a coin so likely will be needed for those doing registry sets.
I agree unless one is flipping, buyers are underwater right now especially with gold prices dropping yesterday.
Long term, possible break even or again someone needing for their set because it’s a coin a potential profit.
If I actually receive mine, which I did get confirmation email on, my plan is to hold. I’m not a flipper.
My grandfather served in the Pacific Theater so maybe it was a bad investment, however, I didn’t but it to make money. I bought for remembrance of gramps.
I never saw it go live this morning at least for the Privy gold

It means their web site is getting destroyed and the database which is trying to either store or retrieve the information to serve in the page is puking on itself. Database does not return a response or it just can process into the tables,

Got the silver, both are unavailable now.

I guess he was going for the gold also. "He's no fun, he fell right over"
The Mint laughed at my iPhone order attempt today.

I had no interest after last week. None....
Every time it seems I am left with one in the bag.
This is the US Mint's perverse version of a good old-fashioned snipe hunt.
My US Mint Commemorative Medal Set
Got the silver only for my collection. Do not want the gold.

I don't see any long-term demand for these. Sat out and don't regret it one bit
Nah...I got that one last Thursday also.

Zero idea why this would hold value long or even near term.
I so love the mint

I decided to get hi ho Silver yesterday and picked up the gold today.
I thought the gold was gone, Miles.
Were they on sale this morning?

I just checked the Mint Website, and I still had the gold coin in my cart.
I tried checking out, but at the final step, it said invalid coin in cart.
Maybe we broke their clock too.
Whoa! Keep checking on these things! The 24K $25 gold just became available at 5:32 my time (PST), so I snagged one. Confirmed order already!
