2007 P James Madison Dollar Coin Error

I very recently started coin collecting and I found a 2007 P James Madison dollar coin that apears to have a second i in in god we trust. I was wondering if someone could tell me if this is an error or if it was damaged in circulation?

Notice the second “I” has square corners and the first does not. Post mint damage. Nothing special.

    it's just a stray mark.

careful not to strain your eyes on those edge lettered coins. I have, to the point of headaches.

have fun looking for odd edge lettering

I dont see a second text, but I do see you holding the coin incorrectly. ;)

Never touch the obverse and reverse. Hold the coin by its edges only.

  • Oh, thanks.

@micah .... Welcome aboard....It looks like damage, but a magnified picture (same area) would help to ascertain the evaluation. Cheers, RickO
