②¢ Post Your Two Cent Pieces Here!

Just picked up my first two cent piece, which will be my type set example. I've looked at a ton of poorly struck examples, and examples with stained/mottled surfaces. While I was considering higher grade, higher budget coins, this MS62BN CAC with delightfully even chocolate brown surfaces ultimately caught my attention at a fantastic value. Would love to see other folks' deuces as well!

Congrats. Always liked this type. Looks like a 64BN to me. Good work on having the patience to find one this nice
Not as nice as yours but my only example in my 7070 set.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Not as nice as the OP, but here is mine. An NGC MS64BN.
I have always liked the Two Cent coin... and feel it is underappreciated .... I used to have two, but have only seen one for a long time...No idea where the other is now. Just raw, brown coins. Cheers, RickO
I like it!
The reverse strike in particular looks absolutely HAMMERED. Nice coin

@P0CKETCHANGE That's a nice one, I like that even chocolate look on an old copper coin. My only example is a raw VF from my granddad's collection. Thanks for posting the grade as I would have never guessed

Here is mine, 66RB. I used to have another 66BN but I sold it, wish I hadn't.
Unreal that it is CAC, unless it is gold. What color is your CAC bean? Absolutely, a beautiful coin. Thanks for sharing.

Here’s my Registry Set Digital Album (I just love this PCGS technology they give us, which makes things so very easy). BTW, for those that may not know, the start of this series with the 1864 was the first U.S. coin to use our motto “In God We Trust”.

Here are some I put together many years ago in a Capital holder.
Back circa 1980, when the U.S. coin market was going nuts, I put together a date and major variety set of the Two Cent Pieces in EF or better. Every coin had to have a strong "WE" It's harder than you might think. I sold all but one of those coins. Here are the pieces I now have
1864 Large Motto, PCGS rattle holder MS-65, Red.
1864 Small Motto, PCGS MS-64, R&B
Here is one piece I kept from that set I assembled years ago, 1870, "Bill Jones grade EF-40."
The interesting thing about this coin is that it actually has very little wear, but the devices were delicately struck. If this coin had been in circulation for very long, it would have gone from Mint State to low level VF very quickly.
I only have one
