One childhood memory was trick-or-treating and I received a Kennedy Half Dollar. That may have been the catalyst to my present day hobby.

    Really cool pumpkins!

That is pretty cool. I wish I had 1/10 that artistry. When I was growing up in the 80s some people would tape 5 cents together and give that out. It was always a bit disappointing for someone wanting candy especially since 5c didn’t buy anything then.

I have some scary expensive coins, does that count?

Wow, that's cool. Obviously, a lot of work went into carving that.

Young whipper snapper eh? When I was trick or treating a nickel would buy a full size candy bar before they started making them smaller!

Lol. I don’t feel quite so young anymore! As I recall, most candy was 25c at the local store when I was growing up. But it was at that store when I worked there at 15 that I got my first silver JFKs at face value in a swap.

Lol, I actually didn’t mind hitting 40 but I’m closer to 50 now. Time sure flies!

To keep it thread relevant: showed my wife the OP pics and she thought they were great. Too bad neither of us have the talent to do one ourselves!
