New Early Date Large Cent Book: Coming very soon!

I'm pleased to announce that it's FINALLY gone to print. All 274, full color, high resolution pages. 295 Sheldon varieties plus the NC's. I look very forward to offering this book to the club...been at it for over 2 years now...it's a lot of work! Here's a graphic I haphazardly threw together of the obverse and reverse covers:

I think there have been more books written about 1794 cents than any other U.S. coin.
I'm not sure about that. I would think maybe Morgans or something, but I could be wrong.
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
Will it be available in PDF?

Eventually, possibly, but not for a long time.
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
Congrats
In my day I would've purchased your book right away, but I've gotten old enough that the computer helps with reading and seeing enlarged versions of coins. I have over 50 coin books that I will not get rid of, but seldom open any longer.

It's printed in larger than average font.
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
That is helpful. I know how much work goes into producing a book and the publishing and printing issues that confound the author and we as coin collectors and dealers do assuredly appreciate your effort on our behalf.

We're looking about about 2-3 weeks!
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
Price???
$125 for the full color version.
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
Congrats!
Latin American Collection
looks like a jeffie head you chose for the cover?
Indeed. It was either that or the S-48.
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
At that size is it hard or soft bound?
Soft
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
That sounds like a book that would be worthy of a Hardbound version. Any chance of that happening?
Maybe, but it'll be later down the road, perhaps a deluxe leather bound version for the spendy crowd. For those who just want to attribute their coins, what I have now works perfectly. 1.5" was a bit of an exaggeration, it's probably closer to an inch...a little thicker than the Reeded Edge book, with the same type of binding, if anyone has that.
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
May we see a sample attribution page?
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.
A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
I'm sorry to ask this but don't see it in the thread...who is the author?
The crazy Feringi in the avatar!
This is the cover of my previous book, 1793-1795. I had planned 3 editions, but by popular demand, I worked them in all together. I have made significant improvements to the Die Crack Finder, and have fixed a couple of omissions on the earlier dates. My first book was reviewed by many EAC and other dealers.
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
Would prefer the opportunity to purchase in color and hardback.
How will your book differ from the Noyes books?
RMR: 'Wer, wenn ich schriee, hörte mich denn aus der Engel Ordnungen?'
CJ: 'No one!' [Ain't no angels in the coin biz]
@opportunity.... Congratulations... That is a major project. Looks like a worthwhile addition to the numismatic library. Cheers, RickO
My sentiments too!!
There is a brief excerpt from the 1793-95 book at:

Two sample pages from the old book shown at the above link.
Sample [1794] "crack finder" from 1793-95 book page (cropped to make it easier to view on this forum).
I don't own a copy of this book, but the crack finder appears to be a composite of die crack locations
(and other die markers like berries and ribbon tails) for a year,
labelled with the S- and NC- number(s) where each crack or marker appears.
1796 improved crack finder from the new 1793-1814 book.
Very nice - I can see different colors were used to distinguish die cracks which are close to each other.
