My First Gold Coin Purchase!

My first gold coin purchase (I inherited two before this).
I noticed someone posting about having a few Irish coins for sale on their eBay so I decided to check it out. No Irish coins interested me but I did see this piece. After doing a small bit of research I decided to reach out to them off eBay and turns out they lived 10 minutes from me. What's even more surprising is I had met them before and sold them a coin of mine in the past! They said they were looking to chase another coin so needed the funds and made me an offer I felt like I couldn't refuse. This is certainly on the high end of my collection and I don't foresee buying much gold in the future considering the lasting effect this will have on my hobby funds
but I am stoked to have it. Cool coin, nice grade, and amazing provenance. Really pleased with this new pick up.
Hope y'all enjoy,
Cheers!

My current "Box of 20"
Honestly I am unsure of this. The coin itself doesn't have much information available online but it was issued by a local authority under France. During that time period France's other coins were struck with .958 gold. I would think in order to circulate it would need to be close to that. And it's 3.5g or thereabouts.
