MS60, possibly MS61.
62 I see no chance of a PL from your photos.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
I see it as a MS-62 no chance of a PL.

It looks like a 62 to me, also and clearly not prooflike.

Photos are dull, video is better but I can’t post.
I don't see prooflike.
62 no pl
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
63 no PL
62 tops, way too much chatter on the cheek to get a higher grade. Not PL either.
I'm with the herd, looks like a 61 to 62, with no PL

I think the crowd has spoken. You should hope for a 63, but expect a 62. Nice coin!
62 looks right, no pl.
Don’t post another or the forum mall cops will be all over you!
I would say MS62 and no PL....Cheers, RickO
I'm with the majority here. MS 62, not PL.
These were the first Morgan dollars struck by the US Mint. Your example shows a significant die crack which suggests it was a late die state coin. Many of this issue seemed proof like so it's not special in that regard. Still, a neat coin for it's historical value.

PL standards have gotten tougher, you have to have a superb strike and strong or mirror contrast.
Strike has nothing to do with a PL designation.

Thank you for the great information!
Are there any DPLs or PLs that are poorly struck? It just seems to me that all the ones I have seen are very well struck?
Your definition of “poorly” might differ from that of others, but yes, many.

MS62 not PL
MS62.... I am in agreement with others, not PL.
62 at best a lot of chatter, also nowhere near PL, rgds!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
Looking unanimous. I'm in the 62 crowd and not seeing PL from the pics.

unanimous indeed, 62 no PL
Looks nice. Agree with 62 but looks like it has nice eye appeal so maybe 62+, doesn't look PL enough
