It's a simple choice, which medal do you think is nicer and would be your choice to own?? Please offer an explanation for the choice if you care to. Thanks in advance.

Hard to tell with the lighting. I would choose Photographer A for sure. Then maybe medal B.
B. It looks like there is a speck of some sort on medal A under the wreath/laurel on the left hand side, plus whatever is going on at the seat of the seated person on the right. Plus the greenish toning at 9:00 on medal A I don't care for. They are both gorgeous though, and would be happy to own either of them.

The lighting in the photos varies too much to make a call. Both medals look quite nice but I would have to see them in person.
Tough to judge since they were photographed so differently. A was photographed to show the details much better so that appeals to me but it also has some spotting that I do not care for...so assuming B does not have the spotting issues, I would go with B. I also note a few extra rim dings in A...so again, I would go with B.

same medal, different lighting?
Both medals are fabulous, but the PL look of Medal B really set's it apart!
OK, the first set appear to be raw and the lighting is really high, oversaturated to my eyes. with that said, I am sort of surprised that nobody seems to be concerned with the dark area to the left on the obverse and the very distracting dark circle near the right rim on the obverse.

Well I don't know what it should actually look like. I figure the darker medal B would be the original patina. The medal A looks to have maybe had an old dip? I know nothing about medals so my opinion is basically worthless. Lol But I do like B better!

Here is a bit of advice to those who like A. It might not be stable. A couple of the spots, especially the one just below 3 o’clock on the reverse might become active.
Medal A has probably been striped of its original mint finish. Back in the mid 1800s, before the advent of sandblasted finishes, the mint imparted a rich, brown color on its bronze medals. Most advanced collectors admire that look greatly. It’s the reason why medals of that vintage bring much stronger prices than the later pieces of the same variety.

B, but photos sometimes are wrong. Just a side note, notice the arrows in the talons w/o olive branch? Our current CIC clearly folded the flag to show the talons/arrows during his tv sit down covid speech, along with the fallen heros and challenge coins on left; pretty clear sign there.
