What is the LOWEST graded slabbed coin you own?!

KurisuKurisu Posts: 1,963 ✭✭✭✭✭

I'm genuinely curious!
NOT including ancient coins...what is your LOWEST graded slabbed coin?

When it comes to slabs we all love the MS69's and the PR70's!
But who's got some real worthless junk coin graded in a slab?
And I would love to see it!

Maybe I should offer some sort of gift for the "winner" with the most pathetic graded coin?

The grades go all the way down to "PO-1" which simply and sadly just stands for "Poor".

Technically there is also "Ungradable"...but I'm guessing you might not want to slab most of those lol.

I'm not even sure what the lowest grade I've ever seen in a slab is...Maybe an AG-03 or something for a very old coin...but I want to see an AG-03 of a 1990's coin or something wacky lol!

I'm not into lowballs, but there is one coin in specific that I own in a straight graded AG3 because anything else was prohibitively expensive.

Just because a coin is graded very low or even details doesn't make it junk or pathetic. Some incredible rarities are graded very low and worth great sums.

Of course lol! That's what would be fun to see...incredibly low grades worth a ton but also how much fun would it be to see true junk (or maybe it's a sentimental item) that got graded :-)

I only collect MS coins, so my lowest is 'only' a 62.

I have three F12s. All very different. 1840o 10c, 1806 50c, 1799 $1. I have one morgan where I almost think I can read the date but can't. It would be a sure-bet PO-1 if there was just a hair more date visible.

    You should get some.

You can buy some common, yet attractive, MS coins for $15-30.

Or some tougher dates in XF-AU for the same.

You should get some inexpensive slabbed coins. I started off with just 2 PCGS coins for a long time but I had them and they were neat. I still have both.

I guess the lowest I ever had that was slabbed was a 1932D Washington in AG in one of those yellow ANACS slabs. Got it at a good price and cracked it out for my Littleton album.

    I have a lowly AG03, but it's a 1796 quarter. It's possibly CAC-worthy, with its fully VG obverse.

They won’t win this game, but they’re winners in my book. I tried to get them a friend two weeks ago but got sniped and lost.
I don’t have a ton of low grade slabs, but I like the ones I have.

    I like those too.
They are in better condition than I would've expected for the grade...but the stories/history if coins could talk...!

    Love original lowballs!

I owned a PCGS P01 1913-S Barber quarter, but I sold it. That was by far my favorite.

    Currently I own the following:
    1793 Half Cent ANACS P01
    1807 Bust Quarter PCGS P01
    1838 Seated Dime PCGS P01
    1876-CC Seated Quarter PCGS P01
    1863-S Seated Half PCGS P01
    1875 Seated Half PCGS P01

    Lots of F02s

    Dave

Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.
