Three Coins With a Few Questions

Hello, I have these coins and had a few questions about them. The dime has odd toning to it and I've never seen a modern coin with black toning. The nickel I was able to find in circulation and right next to the last T in "Trust" it looks like the planchet is pealing off. The Lincoln cent appears to have a cud mark between the R and T in "liberty." I just want everyone's thoughts on these coins. Thanks

Cent looks like a big chunky die chip. Good eye!
Can't tell with the Nickel
Dime appears to have sat in a pile of dimes, unmoved for a good length of time. It appears to have been above at least one and below at least one in an environment apt to cause toning
My 2c anyway

For the dime, it's just so weird to me that a coin made just last year has toning on it. Never seen a modern coin with toning this interesting. Thought I would share is all.
I think you should have them graded!
Just playing.
Not you again...
Thought I would have some fun!
Die chips in LIBERTY are pretty common especially BIE. Dime discoloration is probably environmental damage over time. Nickel? Peace Roy

I wouldn't call the toning on the dime environmental damage.

I would not say common price...........
Why not?
You could call all toning environmental damage, frankly. But you can see from that coin that there was another coin sitting over the top of it. So, what fell upon that coin that discolored it?
I do agree that people consider all toning environmental damage yet some are nicer than others
Also, didn’t think that the Lincoln cent would be worth that. Didn’t pay much for it.
Not sure why that 1955 S die break did so well.

I bought the cent because it had beautiful reverse toning. You guys might not think the same but I don’t care.
Any thoughts on the nickel and the weird peeling planchet.
Not sure why either now! Since you showed those on ebay.
Yet, this isn’t the same kind of error exactly. The cud is in the R and T. Are there other known examples of my coin?
It is fairly common for Lincolns to break in Liberty.
It seems to be more common between the B & E but it can happen between any of the letters.
Yes, there would be other examples of your coin.
Hard to say on the nickel without better photos or maybe being out of the flip.
It looks like a slight bur of metal maybe from ejection. It may fall off if touched or rubbed.
I don't see it as something to get real excited about or have graded.
Don’t plan to get any of my coins graded. I made that clear in my other posts.
Sorry, I am old and forget everything. Are you sure you made it clear?
Many here are old you will need to remind us every thread you post and sometimes 2 or 3 times in the same thread.
You took the words right out of my mouth.
Are you sure you don't want any of your coins graded?
I think he does, but he just won't admit it to himself.
Nope I don’t. Don’t get all butt hurt like the people in my last thread.
No worries there, mate. Unlike you (apparently), I store my coins in a safe.
Joej132, allow me to save you another thread:
No, your 1954-S Jefferson nickel does NOT have Full Steps.
Oh, if wishing made it so. Save the heartache of grading fees and negative opinions... it simply doesn't have the
required details to be considered Full Steps.
The cent has a die chip...not a cud.... a cud is attached to the rim. The dime is tarnished, and yes, all tarnish is environmental damage. I magnified the nickel image, and still cannot be 100% certain, but looks like PMD. Cheers, RickO
My guess would be to have them graded.
Tarnish? That is weird how the 2019-D dime would tone like that. The toning is on opposite sides of the coin.
In my opinion that cent is better than a typical[boring] BIE die chip.

Agree it's a cool coin. Sorry to ask but what does BIE stand for?
A common die chip on Lincolns is between the B and E of liberty and it loosely resembles an I, so they call it a BIE chip.
