The 1985 Topps has been super hot. I didn't realize BBCE authenticated boxes had gotten this higher. I do know Tom from OPC Baseball sold a Series 1 OPC recently for $1,900.
It is fascinating with cards as graded card sales go higher box prices go higher. As box prices go higher it becomes harder to have new graded cards enter the market and that pushes graded card prices higher which pushes unopened higher. Pretty wild.
I am not sure it is really possible to answer this. The Rock was in tons and his cards had terrible performance for years. Andre they did a documentary and it helped a little but not much.
Hulk has a movie coming out and I would think it can't hurt and might be a catalyst.
These are legends. Sasha is a relative newcomer and obviously only has modern cards but I wouldn't think it would hurt. On the flipside taking her off camera might not be they great for them.
The closest person I can think of is John Cena and no impact for years and his cards have actually done much better this year or at least his rookie has but I think that is more attributable to the general rise in wrestling cards.
My buyer backed out after he made the other purchase for 2k for the other Hulk Hogan PSA 6. That is okay, the market for these have been strong. :-) I auto rejected an offer at $1800.

I ran across this Rock rookie card this morning, it took off pretty fast. It will be interesting to see where it ends up with 9 days still to go in the auction.
These PSA 10 Hogan Merlin's seem to be selling very well. $650 for this Pop 1
The 1989 Market Scene cards from New Zealand are a great set. Very condition sensitive. I busted open a box and didn't pull one Hogan. $299 for this PSA 8
Put this on your watch list. 1982 A set on the first day at $3,100.
Fun fact (or not)
When I clicked the link, one of the first cards I saw was Angelo Mosca. He and my father (also named Angelo) were best friends growing up and played football together. Mosca went to Notre Dame, then the CFL and eventually into wrestling. My father went to BU for football, then the Navy and was a mailman for 40 years. Mosca tried to get my father into the wrestling business, but my mother wasn't having it. Oh man, what could have been!

I love hearing these types of stories. I have been trying to get a high grade Mosca signed from the All Stars series but at this point, despite being alive and here today with us, I have heard that Mosca is no longer capable of signing. I hope that it isn't true but some of the latest autographs from him look quite labored. I wish him the best with his health at this time.

Dwayne Johnson 94 Miami 10 for 9k and a 9 in the same auction from the Hogan 7 above went over $5,600. Thought I hit the jackpot when I sold my 9 for over $3,200. Haha
I don’t even want to know how much an 81 Popy would go for now. Has to be 10k in nm/m condition. It’s so rare relative to his other cards. If I still had one I wouldn’t sell it for less than that.

whatcha fellas think an 82 gong hogan 6 should go for... pop 4, 0 higher?
(and for the life of me can't figure out why it's only a 6)
I would list it at a high BIN or best offer rather than auction. The low pop, lesser known cards sometimes are not on people’s radars.
what are we saying by "high"? i think this card has a lot going for it. first being the '82 year and people will run across it simply by searching for the all stars card. obviously the low pop w none being higher and finally, it's a pretty good looking shot of hogan. w/ the '82 all stars card emerging as the "go to rc", even though technically it's not a rookie card, i can see any other 82 cards riding the tails simply by default for a while and then potentially becoming rarer must haves.

Incredible run up by that card. I remember buying the game to get the card a few years ago. Think I paid more in shipping from Europe than I did for the game
If I remember right ... wasnt their a glossy version and mat version of these cards? Don’t think it was intentional... just a printing variation. Psa should distinguish the difference considering the new popularity in the card

boy, does that t/b centering qualify as 9 centering? I'd say 8 at best
PSA would not give that a 9 for centering. BGS grades these differently and are less harsh on lower centering. So far there are no PSA 10’s because putting the entire package together is virtually impossible. I think this sale is a great sign of how strong the card has gotten and I think a PSA 10 if one ever hit is now a 100k or higher card.
The 1982 Wrestling All Stars cards have a regular version and a smaller version. The smaller version has much better clarity. I wish PSA would take the time out to learn about this set and distinguish the two different versions.

It looks like the standard size of
3 1/2 by 2 5/8.
Most are this size.
