Haven't heard a thing yet. Ga. is being stubborn. The folks running the show are gonna have it if they can IMHO. I still haven't decided whether I will set up or not if it's a go.
That's the thing I'm wondering. Even if it's a go, I keep thinking that dealers are going to think that the public isn't going to show up, and maybe the public is going to think dealers aren't going to show up. I wonder how other shows that have been held turned out?

We had a gun show last weekend, and it was incredible.... Had over 800 people logged through the door (not counting dealers) on Saturday.... Sunday was a bit slower, but still busy. So, if you open, they will come...Cheers, RickO
The big but is Ga. is recording record numbers of infections.
The local 1 day Atlanta show has been going for the last 2 months. Google it and read the show notes. I haven't set up yet and about to call and pass on my table for next week. That show is usually a 1 in 3 are worth doing for me...Dalton is a different story.
I talked with a reliable source. There is going to be a meeting this week. As it stands, the convention center is requiring everyone to have a temperature check. They will receive a colored sticker that is only good for 1 day indicating they have been checked. Everyone will be required to wear a mask.
I asked the show organizer today and he said the show is still on as scheduled
If they have it I will go!
Personally I would have no fear of catching the virus, but the statistics are not on the side of gatherings unless social distancing is followed with 6 ft. between people and mandatory masks.
As always... show reports will be appreciated... Cheers, RickO
I'm glad to hear that they're probably not going to chicken out.... If anyone gets any updates, post them here.

If they have the show I will be there. But things are not moving in the right direction in Whitfield County. Nearly 1000 cases reported in the past two weeks. And for those not familiar, the county only has about 100,000 population.

I don't think I can get my money back for my hotel. But I'm 90% on the side I hope they cancel the show.
I am guessing that sales were brisk.
@Smudge .... They were indeed.... The show is at a large indoor range (I work there as RSO and Firearms Instructor)...and they have classrooms and a large area for shows and other activities. A great many people buying guns for the first time (NSSF - National Shooting Sports Foundation) reports 10.3 million firearms transactions from January 1 through June, and 2.5 million were first time buyers. Lots of training going on - and that is a good thing. Cheers, RickO
With 17 days to go, the website says that the show is still a go.
Lets goooooooo
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
Was that in Middletown?
@stockdude_.... No, in Kingston. Cheers, RickO
The BRNA show is still scheduled. It is one week from today.
Still waiting for the info they are supposed to send us dealers!
Sorry.
OK i didnt know about it. I used to go to the shows in White Plains
Still wondering if the show is a go! This link was updated yesterday. https://aarp.org/politics-society/government-elections/info-2020/coronavirus-state-restrictions.html It says Gatherings of up to 50 people are allowed. The county the show is in is a hot spot. Talking with the show organizers it's still a go.
What do ya'll think?
Idk...I talked to another dealer the other day, and he said it sounds like a go, but if "Gatherings of up to 50 people are allowed" is true, then obviously the show is going to be canceled. I'm starting to wonder if I really want to make the drive, anyway. I get the feeling that half of dealers aren't even going to show up. Plus, you know, that whole virus thing...
I feel like the odds of it all coming together are about 25% at this point.

I finally found the restrictions written in plain English this morning.
Gatherings of more than 50 people are banned unless you can maintain 6 feet social distancing.
This is what I have been told the show is going to do.
My beef is the public is not required to wear a facemask but the dealers are. They will be giving everyone a face mask when they enter encouraging them to wear it and require washing hands with sanitizer.
Daily Temperature checks of everyone entering the show.
Dealers will be given plenty of sanitizer.
Only 2 people allowed behind a table and 2 people at a table at any time.
They have a special squad that will be patrolling the show and breaking up groups that are not following the distancing guidelines.
Dealers are allowed to require stricter guidelines at their table. I know one who is coming with gloves to hand out and will require you to wear them if you handle and of his stuff.
So, barring anything unforeseen the show is a go.
I wonder if they'll also be looking for people with their nose danging out.
Sigh...

Unfortunately the public is not required to wear masks
That makes no sense, all other safety measures in place, and then this? Yikes.......
As a private venue they could require it
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
I hope it does. I'd love to hear about something
I agree and pressed the issue with a board member!
Perhaps if enough people reach out to them they will require everyone to wear a facemask!
You could post a large sign at your booth along the lines of "Please do not approach booth without a facemask on". In an enclosed space with recirculated air, it's obviously best if everyone is wearing one anyway, but at least you (and your coins, cases, etc.) would be out-of-range of direct aerosols, in theory.
Not attending this year. There will be more! I do expect MANY show reports though!
I've been pushing! Come to find out 2 board members quit due to differences of how to handle the show. Facemask Requirements was 1 of them.
Speak up folks. If enough do it could happen. There's also the chance we could all get there...and the county is not satisfied...and they shut the show down! This is a reality!
If 2 dealers are allowed behind a table and 2 customers at a table at one time..... how do you maintain 6 foot apart if you are at a dealers table that has one 8 foot table? Plus the table next to you????
I somehow doubt that after maybe the first hour of the show there will be any social distancing at all. I love setting up at shows as much as the next dealer but this sounds like it's going to be very interesting.... in a bad way for everyone involved

Yeah, it sounds like a free-for-all. I can tell you we're putting the details together for the South Carolina show at the end of October. If it goes ahead, full restrictions will be in force. Signed non-liability waiver for everyone at the door, all attendees must wear masks, etc. The only exception will be dealers at a table by themselves with no customers present, then they can remove the mask until someone approaches. Violators, customers or otherwise, will be escorted from the convention, no exceptions.

One of the heritage rep guys i deal with said its still on and he is attending
Sounds good to me. As a dealer setting up at this show, I totally agree with those regulations
HAPPY COLLECTING
The show is still a go starting on Friday.
I'm already Set Up!!!! Early Birds get in tomorrow at 10am.
Good luck, Darryl!
Make lots of money, but be careful.
Thanks, I don't know what to expect. Actually just hoping to add some nice coins to my inventory.
That event made the local news in Chattanooga.
I am too cheap to pay the Early Bird fee. Hope to see you there.
Thought I would update.
The show is slowly filling up with dealers. All the tables are supposedly sold...probably 3/4 full when I left at 5.
The convention center trumped the BRNA and everyone who enters the facility must wear a mask. Yeah!
Everyone has a temperature check at check in and must wash their hands with sanitizer everytime they enter the facility. They have an automatic hands free dispenser when you enter.
They are staying on top of people who become lax with their masks.
I'm happy with what I have been able to buy so far!
There's supposed to be a pessimistic news crew show up tomorrow who hope to denigrate the show. This could be interesting!
So far I am comfortable with the way things are going.
Great report!! Good luck tomorrow

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Well boys, something came up and I can't make it, regardless. I look forward to the reports. FUN show here we come?
