Anyone care to guess what our hosts graded this coin? (It's straight graded just as an FYI)
MS63 Red is the grade. Edited to remove the grade from the title

63RD.
Wow!
That is among the most red 1955 DDOs I have ever seen! These just don't come looking like this.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Beautiful coin & nice color!
I see quite a few contact marks and they tend to be tough key coins but it has the looks to get a grade bump.
62 Red maybe bump to 63

Outstanding 1955 DDO!
This one has been on my bucket list for a long time now.
Lovely coin I have always coveted. The color is a bit suspicious to me, but nobody else mentioned this.
Well, just Love coins, period.
65RD. Nice coin!
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
If the lines in front of the face are toning, then 64+
If they are scratches....63
I can't really tell from the image.
Nice coin!
That's a Doubled (to) Die for. Great coin.
Hard to tell from those pics. Looks MS64RD give or take a point. Very attractive coin. When it comes to key date copper coins, I prefer a nice glossy chocolate brown color since I don't trust the long term stability of red copper.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

Count the scratches on Lincoln’s bust and look at the long vertical one in front of his face. It’s a very
nice looking coin with more RD than the vast majority of survivors, but there’s no way it’s a 66. I’ll guess MS64RD.

Very nice... I will go with 64RD..... Cheers, RickO

I agree with the 63, but it's an attractive 63.
I'd say 65RD. Beautiful, and a great coin!

Nice 55 DD. Regardless of #.
Thanks, I'm aware of that trick. The original photo was dinky, the current one was edited in after my comment.

Are you serious?
Thats a great coon and has a superb strike!
I agree with the others here, near gem and a bright, lustrous and attractive red, maybe with a plus.
Have you met Heather - I had it at 63 but I would have hoped 64 with the luster.
Im in the 65 red gang. Nice!

This was my #1 goal at the last FUN show. I looked at about 6 of them of varying grades and this was the best to my eyes/loupe. Man I love that show, for anything I will ever buy, you can look at many examples and select the best.
zas107 - yours is stunning! What a cool treasure.
@matt_dac Yours does have great eye appeal. Nice choice.
65...super nice, thanks for posting!
