I feel silly

I won a single lot in the latest Stack's auction. Total invoice, including tax and shipping: $44.69.
The idea was to win some of the other lots that I actually wanted. It would have been a lot more reasonable to toss this lot into a larger package. By itself, it's sort of silly but I'll pay it and move on.

Nice!
Congrats on the win! What happened? Did you put placeholder lots that were exceeded, did you watch lots and forget to bid? Did you big strong and miss out?
I was limited in my bidding. I bid on 3 items and won 2. On the one item I really wanted, my proxy bid was strong enough to win though I missed watching it live. On the one other item I won, I had to keep hitting the bid button, like 4 times.
Been there and done that...recently actually!
The auction had already started, and I noticed that it was sitting with a $1 bid. Or maybe no bids at all. I forget. I probably bid $15. That was the hammer, plus $20 buyer's premium, plus odds and ends for the rest. There was a companion piece in the previous lot where someone outbid me at a $20 hammer.
This wasn't a super deal or anything. If it was on eBay I might have bid $50 or $60 total. It's just weird to have an invoice under $50 at a major auction house, for any reason.

Nice medal though.
Nice medal.... very simple design....I like the engraved recipients name... prominent and clear...prefer that to script. Cheers, RickO
Would make a cool pocket piece!
I've been there quite a few times with S/B.
I consider it a blessing not having gotten auction fever and knowing just when to back off bidding on other lots.
