Finally Got My Liberty Nickel Error Back from PCGS

2ndCharter2ndCharter Posts: 1,716 ✭✭✭✭✭

Well, it took a couple of months but I received my Liberty Head Nickel error back from PCGS. As some of you may recall, it was in a NGC-66 holder and now it's in a PCGS-65 holder but that's OK. Here's the Trueview:

Yes, not too many Red-Brown Liberty Head Nickels out there. Unfortunately, it looks like this will be the last one added to the collection for a while. After getting destroyed by a deep-pocketed phone bidder in Heritage's Central States auction, I will just have to be happy with the half dozen off-metal Liberty Nickel errors I have already. At least that whale can't outbid me for this one!

How are errors like this graded? The obverse looks pretty pristine.
