How's this for a Barber Half Toner?

I was surprised when I unwrapped this one! It's actually way nicer than my pics. GTG if you want.

VF35 (only because it appears to have some remaining luster).

    VF. Hopefully straight graded.

VF has the widest swing in grades!

I hope you chuckle at my goof - I read your title as "Barber....Half Toner", and asked myself, "why would a Barber coin only be half toned?"

WOW!! Posted 2 hours ago and only 4 likes and only 6 comments. This
is a tough crowd. This should be a keeper even if one upgrades later.

VF details, cleaned, but it probably got a numeric grade at 35.

High VF, and I like the look. But then blue is my favorite color. B)

I rate it 'very good' album toning.

    Don’t like the toning.

I'm thinking vf30, unusual to see these toned with any color, isn't it?

Yes it is unusual! @DelawareDoons My opinion of the coin is it was probably dipped in the 1950-60's range and spent the majority of it's life in an old Library of coins album or other vintage album. There are just not that many coins that come like this and they are very market acceptable to most. I wouldn't kick it out of bed! When things loosen up and it's not a pain in the arse to get in my saftey deposit boxes...I'm going to compare it to mine and decide if it will replace the one I have. I could also probably keep it because it's an inverted S.

Yep. The toning is certainly natural, but the unoriginal surfaces are a big turnoff for me.

If you find me a Barber half in a fatty, make sure it has nice, original surfaces. :)
