Very pleased to add this to my gold type set. I’m not much of a bean collector, but this one certainly did warrant one.

My collecting “Pride & Joy” is my PCGS Registry Dansco 7070 Set:

If you want a + you could probably reconsider and get one.
Then you'd have to send it back to New Jersey to get re-beaned.
I had your coin in hand and it has excellent luster for a 11-D which is known for being very granular.
The friction above the 3rd ray in the left field is very hard to see in hand.
The torch mark is often-almost-sort-of ignored in grading because other coins commonly rub there in the mint bags.
(I can show you a 67+ that has the same thing)
There is a little amount of toning that makes it interesting also.
The best 64 I have ever seen.

@ReadyFireAim I was told you were the previous owner of this coin. It’s nice that gems like these stay within our circle of collectors here.
You’ve certainly hit the nail on the head with your description. It’s a stunner in hand.
I would love to see your 67+.

The 67+ I was talking about was Hansen's coin.
See how it has the torch rub like yours.
It is often ignored or not weighted heavily in grading saints.
An argument can be made that it is not PMD.
This was a Fox coin that I suggested Hansen buy on the Hensen watch thread.
I don't know If he took my advice or not...Probably he saw it himself.
Anyway it's a 67+ CAC-failure pop 2/0
You might be able to tell by now that I really like 1911-P-D & S saints.

Subtly georgeous!
