No, Damaged Rim
Genuine, and a very nice example of the error on a one-year type to boot. I saw that coin offered for sale recently, I think the dies are slightly rotated too. Did you buy it?

Real deal.

Why do you say damaged?
I also vote real, but in general it is nice to see the edge, also.
Nice I like
I just bought this one on eBay last week, had a reasonable Buy It Now and is very similar to the OP's coin, except it is the scarcer Type 2 reverse (seller's pictures):

Looks like it was used to pry.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Guys, when asking an opinion about a clip, it is very helpful to show the edge of the part that is clipped. This is one case where "show us the edge" ALWAYS applies.
Yes, it is a genuine clipped planchet.
Yup, genuine! The design rim properly tapers toward the center of the clip. I thought about bidding on that one! Nice piece!
I agree with the experts. It genuine.
Genuine. Nice coin!

Thank you all for the feedback! I've been trying to find 1913-P Type I errors (still looking for more) and took a chance on this being authentic.
Here is a rather poor picture of the edge. Hopefully, it helps.

Yes edge looks good.
Neat coin. Is this coin worth the expense of getting it slabbed? Just curious.

Certainly looks authentic....Good find... Thanks for the edge picture... Cheers, RickO
Liking that edge image. Nice pick up. Peace Roy

The edge shows the "punch and tear" characteristic that is left over from the blanking process. When evaluating a potential clipped planchet, always check the edge as well as looking for the Blakesley Effect (which may not always be present)
