@keets said: I am easily amused. That cracked me up.
do you mean you had never heard that one before?? I think my cousin told it to me about 1965. he told me another, said that he was gonna get a new car, he called it a Rolls Can-ardly. when I asked what that was he said "its a car that rolls down one hill and Can-ardly get up the next."
Just seeing someone answer made me laugh. Doesn't seem like it takes much to make me laugh these days. Maybe I am just looking for something to laugh about.

This makes me sad, I guess you can never make any more significant contributions as long as you live? What would they do, take it back and re-present it?

Thank you all. I was quite surprised because I did not know that I was under consideration for it, and I thought that my best friend in the hobby, David T. Alexander, should have received it. Maybe next year.

Warmest, deepest congratulations! This award is long over-due. Frankly, I thought you had won it a while ago. So, it's nice to see the ANA is finally getting to where it should have been years ago!!!!
Thank you Bob. I have always said I wanted to be you when I grow up. Still do!

And I just found out I get a First Place Heath Literary Award and the Wayte and Olga Raymond Literary Award for the article I did with Dan Owens on the 1873-S Seated Dollars. Going to be the best ANA I never attended!

Congratulations! I won't buy you a drink there to celebrate.
I hope that you can receive this prestige's award in person but if it becomes a stay at home award, please show some pictures either way. This is NOT a minor award. Congratulations and continue to do what you did to obtain this award.
Although I only know you through this forum, I'll just say when I see your posts it seems like yours is the last word. Most of the confusion or debate seems to stop once you comment. Obviously you are respected on the forum. And that doesn't come easy. I see there is a lot of knowledge in your comments. I was looking forward to possibly meeting you in Pittsburgh. Now that the show is cancelled, hoping some time in the future to meet and shake your hand sir. Congratulations on your awards. Appears to me that they are very well deserved.
Thank you. I had a good mentor, Ed Fleischman, who thought me to share knowledge.

It’s too bad that the show has been canceled. Getting it “though the mail” is not as exciting.
