Hobo Nickels, Coins and Carvers
Here's my latest hobo nickel. It's carved by Steven G. Adams. I was just draw to the profile of Lincoln and the eagle.
Here are some links to to Steven's coins:

Here's the BGASC profile for Steve:
Master Carver Steve Adams Collection
Steve Adams is one of the most highly skilled modern coin carvers in the world. His carved coins demand a significant premium due to his masterful skill and the low number of coins he actually produces. Adams is a professional die engraver who sculpts Hobo Coins to depths other carvers would not risk. Steve explains in these two videos how he carved our 5 oz 2010 Yellowstone ATB. As you can see, we value our collection highly.
It seems ICG is the only TPG that certifies these right now, but it would be great if more did.
What are some of your favorite hobo nickels and who are some of your favorite carvers?

@ifthevamzarockin I love that one! Very timely!
Do you know who carved it?
Howard Thomas
I like the ones that are very timely. It would be great to get at last one a year of major world events.
Here are some links for Howard Thomas:
Here's the BGASC profile for Howard Thomas which indicates he moved from scrimshaw to hobos. Anyone know what etching scrimshaw is?
Scrimshaw is the art or technique of carving or engraving whale ivory, whalebone, walrus tusks....Was once very popular and there are still many collectors. Cheers, RickO

They just slab or also grade defaced hobos?
They slab and grade hobos. What is a "defaced" hobo vs. a regular one?
Here's a question from before on this: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/981272/does-pcgs-slab-hobos
So they are split grading based on just the non molested reverse.
There's no regular hobos as all are defaced/altered coins and numerical grading of such is asinine.
I have a particular fondness for the skull carvings of John Hughey.
And his "freaky faces" are beloved as well.....
