Have I mentioned HOW MUCH I HATE THE CAP!!!!!! The owners should be able to spend what they want!!!
you are embarrassing dime. Go look at the numbers and get back to us.
The dallas cowboys have the lowest actually payroll of any team in the league. The most or second most valuable sports team in the world has the lowest payroll in the NFL and hasn't won in decades.
Not the cap , the cap is fake , I'm talking real spending. Anyone can put 50 million on the cap to max it out then cut 48 million a day later. I'm talking checks written and cashed Dallas is the lowest of the low
Hey Bronc........don't get your shorts in a wad. I said I hate the cap...and do.....I don't know who has what and don't care! All I know is Dallas has had to let players go FA to stay under the cap!
the cap is not payroll! They put big fancy amounts in the cap that never get paid out.
THE LOWEST ACTUAL PAYROLL IN THE NFL! the cap is not stopping dallas from spending a penny.
Everyone bitched out the Patriots and Bill B for not paying people but they actually won 6 super bowls on the cheap . Dallas doesn't spend and they cant win a single playoff game
Something doesn't wash here. Joe said they are 10M over the cap. Plus they had to let several really good players go to FA this year to stay under the cap!
the cap is play money its not spending. I will hire you for 10 million against the cap right now. Go out and wait by your mailbox for the check , it will be along any day
Whatever! All I know is we loose players every year to FA because of the CAP!
no you don't , the team just doesnt want to pay what it takes to keep the player and the cap is the excuse they use so they dont have to explain that they dont want to spend money but they are raising ticket prices anyway
I'm not saying a player is worth X or y dollars . The cap is only there to give teams cover for screwing players and fans over. It also protects veterans a little bit

I don't pretend to understand the cap, but I also hate seeing players have to leave because the team has several good veteran players and either has to try to get them to restructure or cut them in order to pay other guys or acquire veteran players to help them win now.
The draft is so over rated it's ridiculous. In a good draft year, you might get one immediate starter and maybe one that becomes a starter and plays for several years.
The end result (for teams other than the Patriots) is your team gets good and then can't afford to keep the team together. You end up either dismantling the team and starting over, or you get "stuck" where you are, maintaining a good team, but not contending for a championship.
The Vikings had their "window" and it appears to be closing if not already closed. They cut a starting corner, Xavier Rhodes, who made the pro bowl last year, to save money. Now they will need to replace him, and their other starting corner, who got insane money to leave.
The Yankees haven't won a WS in 10 years and it looks like Boston is rebuilding. Big payrolls do not guarantee championships.

Very true, but the owner should be able to spend whatever he wants to keep the team he want and not have to worry about a STUPID cap!!! Weather you win or lose is a whole different story and/or problem!

Dime , the teams all have the same cap but Dallas has the lowest actual roster spending. The cap doesn't stop them from spending money , they just don't want to , they have more money than any other team in the league and spend the least.
why don't you just own up to the fact that you don't mind being a fan of a team that doesn't want to win a team that only won a few times by accident then Jerry realized his mistake and fired the only good coach he ever had.
This team is purely a vanity project . They spend more money hiring people to polish their 300 statues of Jerry Jones than on the coaching staff .

They don't have to cut anyone. The players have no power in the NFL , the teams can literally restructure anything they want. The cap isn't a way to get to parity its just a way for the owners to screw players over.
The cap is 200 million dollars. They could all spend 4 times that every year and still turn a profit

Do away with the cap? Jerry Jones still doesn't have enough money to win a Super Bowl.
