Cool error I bought in a collection

A silver proof quarter with a finned rim. I dont normally have the opportunity to buy a proof error.

The Obv. die was slightly mis-aligned,
which permitted the sliver ('fin') of metal
to flow into that small thin gap.

Although scarce on Proofs, there are numerous known
examples of both Clad and Silver proofFinned Rim quarters.

Buffalo 1 oz. bullion gold pieces were struck in quantities
with this anomaly.
