Finally put the last piece of the complete 200 card /999 Chrome Set in place! What a slog! No idea how those who do the entire refractor and lower sets get it done. Takes 100% focus for sure especially when you are trying to get 95% of the cards for less then a premium. Anyway, I'm stoked!

Still need the Trout and Hoerner/Alzolay Rook....
Will have to bite the bullet on the Trout - But should finish in a week or two.
Accumulated a few doubles which I can hopefully use to knock down the out-of-pocket on the Trout.

Back in the late 2000s (07, 08, 09, etc..) it was way easier to put the chrome set together just by trading in the thread. After 2010 it got hard because of them changing the chrome odds. Now it's a major accomplishment.

Looks like Heritage has seen better years for collectors interest. Some great pulls here, but the not quite the interest of years past. I used to buy a case to stash and then open several hobby boxes and a ton of blasters, etc. With the hundreds and hundreds of boxes I opened, my two best cards were auto Lou Brock and Clem Labine from "dem bums". I just sort of lost the desire to chase after what seemed like rare examples of cards that were all the same except for a different colored border as the difference. I still put together sets, but end up buying most of them in lots. No chase cards, but no doubles of worthless commons either. Should I sell the run of cases as a lot or put them up in 2-3 year offerings? Maybe just hold...

I opened a case. Wish I hadn't. I could not even get a complete set out of it. Had all the requisite hits in terms of #s but the quality of player selection for the hits stinks. I pulled a Real One Dual Autograph /25 actually numbered 01/25. Great, right? Yeah, except it is Yadier Molina and Joe Torre. Ugh... Why make a rare insert card of a very good catcher and a HOFer no one collects? Did they run out of actual stars??

Nah, people have gone elsewhere. Like social media groups. Forums like this are dying. Heritage is still huge.

Heritage isn't for everyone and EVERYBODY knows the hits aren't like other issues. This is no secret. Heritage is a set builders paradise and the only issue in the market place probably where the hits are almost secondary ...... Print runs are higher that is for sure but I don't give a crap.
I'm about halfway through the 2020 Heritage white border set. I'm looking for cards that I don't have. If you have any white borders and would like to unload, please let me know.
