Amazing coin, congratulations.
I won't hazard a grade guess off hand but there sure is a lot of detail obv and rev.

My Washington Quarter Registry set...in progress
I will guess it's VF35 and beautiful!
Very nice, even wear, and completely wholesome. Hard to make out the mark in its entirety, but certainly looks like a chop. Well done! Hope I can find an example for my chopped US set one day.
agreed. nice snag!

Sure would like to know the backstory on a coin like that with a chop mark... Cheers, RickO
Really cool coin, congrats!
When you originally posted I was thinking a chop marked Seated dollar. Never thought it would be a Bust Dollar. Very cool... I don’t recall ever seeing another like it. Are chopped bust dollars rarer then chopped Seated dollars? Either way congrats on the new pick up looks awesome
Both are difficult to find. Bust is more rare, though. I dont have either, and that is not due to the lack of effort.

I've seen a total of five. No metric to estimate how many there might be.
The Rose Coin, Plated in 'Chopmarks' (Fig. 85/86). 1799. XF Detail (Est). Four chops on obverse, five on reverse. Also plated in Gullberg's 'Chopmarked Coins - A History', as Fig. 28. In my opinion, the most wholesome and pleasing example I've seen, with a convincing array of chops and honest surfaces.
Sold on Great Collections Jul 30, 2017. 1796. In a PCGS VF Details holder. Single large chop on reverse, unusually large for the period; suggests a circulation date many decades after mintage.
The Hal Walls Coin. 1799. F Detail (Est). Sold as Lot 24 in Paul Bosco Sale #18 (The Hal Walls Collection of World Trade Coins). Two marks on obverse (a multi-character relief mark, and one in the form of a propeller), and one on the reverse (incuse 'seal' mark). Very unusual chops, I would suggest that they are likely spurious.
AG/G Detail (Est.). One character chop on obverse. Featured as cover coin on 'Chopmark News' Vol. 19, Issue 2 (Sep. 2015). Ex-John Kraljevich. Foerder collection.
VG Detail (Est.). One character chop on reverse. Featured as cover coin on 'Chopmark News' Vol. 17, Issue 4 (Dec. 2013). Ex-Jeff Hoare Auctions. Donated to the British Museum by William Barrett in 1997.
The coin in this thread.
That's five, plus the coin shown here.
In addition to the ones by Taylor, Ive heard rumor of more, but have not seen them personally.
Id say extant 10-20, purely speculation though.
