BIN $2.50 Liberty from HA

Hi Guys, The other day, I pulled the trigger on a BIN $2.50 Liberty from HA. Can I use pictures of it from HA's site, or do I need to take pictures of it when I get it in hand?

Looks like it depends on where you plan to use it. In your registry set? Probably fine, but you have to credit the image to Heritage. To advertise the coin for sale? Probably not fine. Here's what it says on the Heritage website:

"You may copy or print content only for Your personal use, and services are available only for Your personal use. One individual image may be used to accompany any article that You write without our written consent, if not used for commercial purposes, and if credited to Heritage Auctions."

Thanks Alan, It's a moot point now. The order was filled and images have been pulled from their website. I just wanted to show everyone my latest pick up. For what it's worth, it was a common date - 1907 MS-64, with a green bean.

First, as someone who has had many photographs stolen over the years online I want to say thank you for even asking the question. From a pure technicality point of view, you wouldn’t be authorized to use it unless granted permission from the person taking the pictures. I found that most people are very accommodating if you ask nicely and just want to show the coin and not use it to re-sell or misrepresent as your own.

I think you went about it a much better way than most.

Thanks for retrieving them for me Mark. Here's what I bought late last week. Posting the obverse was easy enough, the reverse keeps giving me problems.

Very nice! I just started working on a 1907 mint set that this would have fit in perfectly, I'll have to keep my eye out for another one as nice as this.

You sir rock! Thanks for everyone's kind words. For the topic of to post HA's pics or not to post - I didn't know the legal/copyright rules, and I didn't want to get in to any trouble. So I thought I'd ask.
