Congrats @kevinj !! But, for your two years of effort, you should make some $$ from the book, no?!
Rocking my "shiny-object-syndrome"!!!
Thanks Eric, yeah it would be great to make some money
This book is not just for coins, the information is applicable everywhere for pictures
Nothing like this has ever been assembled on this subect
There were so many court cases, best always to collect all together and categorize and also make sense out of it

The subject matter (i.e. the image of the coin) is not copyrightable. The same subject can be photographed by a different person and both photographs be copyrightable.
What is copyrightable is the choices and judgment it taking of the photograph
You should be able to articulate the choices made and demonstrate or show the differences made in the photograph
Some photographs are copyrightable based upon the timing of the photograph, such as at a sporting event, nature shots
Choices include selection of camera, lens, lighting, angle, perspective, film, focus, aperture, posing of the subject, all of which
can affect the photo.
