I often wonder what type of gold was stored in this bag. If the bag's date means anything, it would have only held $10 eagles as the only circulating gold produced that year. Insights welcomed.

So Called Dollars came in a variety of packaging, some of which are quite interesting.
This more mundane HK-696 came in the holder wrapped in cellophane. This one has the cello removed.

Not as old as some of the great stuff presented here, but thought it was unique when I bot it on EBAY for $159 back in 03. Came with a 78CC, 78S and 78 Rev 78 in MS 62 condition, only needed the 78CC so the other 2 sort of came free. In my Dansco set.
Here's another. Stopped the wife from throwing the clock in the garbage and and who knows what with the coins - was her fathers. Have the missing dime somewhere, believe the clock still worked.
Five 1952 Proof sets with the original outside mailer.
Interior of an 1876 Centennial Celebration four piece medal set.
An 1876 silver medal box and the medal. The dealer had it slabbed before I could buy it. I could crack it out, but a paid too much for this as it is.
1916 Telephone Company Pioneers box and medal. I used to work for the old AT&T. You had to work at the company for 100 years to be eligable to join this organization ... Not quite, but when you are younger it seemed like it.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
At last years ANA I purchased a Conder token that is from the Eric P. Newman Collection. It is the popular Am I Not a Man and a Brother anti slavery token. It came with Newmans's signature envelope and an envelope from A.H. Baldwin & Sons.
Another interesting item is this patriotic Civil War token that is ex: Steve Tanenbaum. It is in a custom designed 2x2 with the image of two Civil War soldiers.
