For all the naysayers that say silver is SLIPPING

I give you silver at almost $1000 an ounce, IF my math is correct.
$30 a gram :o (times 28.35) gives us $850 an ounce.

That could be because the bar is rare and collectors want it. Doesn’t mean silver prices are going up.

I'll make you an offer you can't refuse. You can have one of my 1 oz silver bars for a measly $50.00 ;)

I have learned in a short time that there is definitely a premium for silver art bars! I know nothing about this particular one being shown, but there aren't many going for anywhere close to spot right now. And I'm talking about older ones...not generics that are being released this week! :D

    Looks like a winner.

I paid up for it at $31/gram, but I figured I'd spread the wealth after selling a 1 ounce (return of the $2 bill) International silver company art bar for $100.

According to the Kidd book there were only 500 made and each is serial numbered. That's really low mintage for something such as this.

absolutely......Pick any of the 1 oz Silver Railroad Art Bars ( Locomotive) produced by the Mount Everest Mint. Your choice, all come in a protective case.

    YUP.
    It's a SWEET bar...number 454.
I was happy to sit on it till a serious collector showed up.

Yep.... art bars definitely bring a premium over melt.... Well, some do.... Others not so much. I do not know enough about the art/mint collector world to play in it... So I stick to ASE bullion - though I also have proofs. Cheers, RickO

There's actually 31.1034768 grams in a Troy ounce. I'm surprised no one caught this.

    Correct, in my defense....
I was at the department of revenue (in the waiting room)
    Wasn't sweating a bit...

Stayed up too late on the blackjack tables till 4:30 in the morning o:)
I was previously doing the math at 31.2
(rounded up as a buyer's price)
Then while in the waiting room I googled (ounces to grams) and GOOGLE says 28.35.

My bad, twas a long day and the dealer was paying better than usual so who was I to argue.

Those are cool an all, but I look for bars a little less mass produced.
