This was just listed on the internet for sale and I wondered thoughts on authenticity! Starting bid only a dollar...
Cert has no image so that really doesn't help:
Thanks,

I think it's a fake coin and slab.
Fake coin, fake slab.
Wish I could find a 45 that looked like that!
Sad fake
See http://www.doubledimes.com for a free online reference for US twenty-cent pieces
XF 45... LOL.
I did do a comparison image to a known PCGS XF45 (image courtesy PCGS):
I just ran it up to 345. Would have dropped that on a wish but not gonna waste anymore on the 2 percent chance it is real
100% positive transactions with SurfinxHI, bigole, 1madman, collectorcoins, proofmorgan, Luke Marshall, silver pop, golden egg, point five zero,coin22lover, alohagary, blaircountycoin,joebb21
Mushy
PCGS would never grade that as a 45.
I can't see the crack in the T from the picture but I usually need a 10x loop to see it in lower grades like this anyway. Doesn't really matter since the 1 in the date is not in the right place. I'd call it fake.
Checked with CAC and it seems the real one with that cert# doesn't have a CAC sticker either.
There's 0% chance it is real.
Date isn’t centered below the bust correctly. Just one of the issues with that thing
The label is a giveaway to me...wrong font.

I emphatically disagree. I think it's 100% fake.
I just bid to get the sellers hopes up before it goes poof.
Now here's a thought. What if the coin is fake but it was really slabbed by PCGS. I seriously doubt it but what if? Who would paying who?
In this case, I might have been fooled by the slab but not the coin.
Good grief.
Fake from an arms length away, no question. Only one obverse die was used, if the one is not over the 4th dentil, to the right of the point of the neck, Michael Jordan slam dunk counterfeit, no doubt about it. Probably the first diagnostic used by graders, the easiest Morgan to authenticate, David Hall would agree.
It was reported and removed. Thanks for all of the comments!
Yep... gone now... Good catch everyone...and thanks for the picture capture....Any guesses how long until it reappears? Cheers, RickO
Man, I wish there was a way to stop this stuff.
Too many people are getting hurt by stuff like this.
Pete
Pete, I report these to a number of groups including the ACTF as I become aware of them. All we can do at this point. I did report it to my contact at PCGS so they are aware if they haven't taken notice from this post...
Seller is in the United Kingdom and may be a little out of the practical reach of U.S. laws.
Still awareness is key; and shipping here from outside the US regardless of where is illegal... Including China and UK.
Thanks for protecting our hobby.
100% Positive BST transactions
Bogus and poof
The “3” in “93” looks filled. Not a clean background
I'm not always the best at spotting a fake slab or coin BUT my grading is pretty good and that coin resting in a 45 holder is just laughable.
