Maybe there going to announce every Silver Eagle Special Release will now come from the Mint Graded by PCGS with all stickers applied to the insert instead of the slab, and for the.right price you will be able to buy coins by the grade straight from the Mint!
Now that would be a perfect world😁

I hope they are converting to a regular full fledged grading service complete with their own slabs... or maybe photo certificates for already encapsulated coins with notes... Hmm.
Did JA get to buy one of the enhanced proof silver eagles?
Is JA going to be numismatic santa this year and send every CAC member one of the enhanced proof silver eagles? (Just kidding but one could dream).
Please No!!!
I'd rater not have a bunch of collectors thinking for themselves.
Why not....we did it years and years befor CAC.
I think he was being sarcastic.

Since we know from Laura that they were considering a CAC registry and since this latest rumor is coming from Laura, isn't the CAC registry the most logical hypothesis?

On a more serious note, my guess is that the’ll announce that their website will provide some type of valuation data for coins with CAC’s.
The price of hype.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

They have a retail price guide now available. The data is also in the Greysheet If they put that data on their website for free, it undermines their publication.
I avoid speculation on such things.... Though I will watch with interest. CAC has done a great job of breaking into the grading market and has achieved prominence with collectors and dealers - pricing reflects their acceptance. Cheers, RickO
A purely speculative question - If indeed CAC starts a CAC Registry, would it be a “competitive” one, like PCGS, but only coins with CAC’s qualify, or just a pure Registry, so it just links the Cert Number with your name, in case of theft?
A day without fine wine and working on your coin collection is like a day without sunshine!!!
Some sort of co sponsorship of a registry. And that may not a bad idea should it be about coins. And to make it about coins, why not open the process to other TPG companies to include the older White ANACs holders, Hallmark and the very early PCI coins graded in the 1990s. Part of my rationale as to ANACs is that they slabbed varieties well before it became fashionable... to loose this connection and provenance seems wrong in that it is part of how numismatics unfolded.
TPG within the world coin market has not matured or been accepted to the point that CAC should even consider going there.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
I'm sure this has been discussed before, the reason why JA decided not to include other TPG companies is because the approval rates were much lower than for PCGS and NGC graded coins.
For some series it's quite low already. Obviously low approval rates are discouraging for submitters, perhaps to a lesser extent this applies for professional graders like JA.

I don't think they will broaden their submission acceptance will they ?
INCLUDING the cert numbers that did NOT pass CAC? Dreaming?????....than dream big! Right!!!?????
They will be putting stickers on the 2019 Silver Eagle reverse proof?!
I mean, should we start another thread on this?
platinum bean
Maybe JA is retiring!
That is a legitimate fear and would change the whole dynamic of the company.

They will be announcing that for a decade they wore blindfolds while pinning stickers on slabs just to prove collectors would buy into it like donkeys

They will start slabbing coins with paper inserts that are either gold, green, or brown (crappy) so it's one-stop shopping.
There will be 3 registries, one for each color.
You will be able to submit your coins for a "+" or a " -" sticker for an extra fee; brown (-) would be a truly nasty coin
Then the principals will take the company public and live happily forever at the seashore......The End
Commems and Early Type
I’ll guess expanded services, maybe world coins and/or ancients?
They will sticker raw coins on coins where the portrait is big enough to hold the sticker.
Maybe they will slab slabs that have CaC stickers? LOL

Three guesses in order...
Entire auction of CAC coins.
Adding :"Modern" coins, bullion, or World coins.
Moving company out of NJ to CA or FL
Guess that is actually five guesses.
My guess is that all of your guesses are incorrect.

You cared enough to tell us you don't care. Methinks the lady doth protest too much!
A sticker for full strike coins
ouch! that's harsh.
I don’t. But I think I know enough about CAC to believe strongly that those guesses were wrong.
Mark Feld* of Heritage Auctions*Unless otherwise noted, my posts here represent my personal opinions.
And I know virtually NOTHING about CAC so I may be thinking out of the box.
The announcement is out - CAC price guide being made available online for free.
This is NOT big news. It just amounts to an admission that they couldn't sell the publication.
My guesses were not even close. You were right. I hate being wrong!
