@Justacommeman Mark, those look like your coins....say it ain't so...
Some GORGEOUS and UNIQUE pieces there, in any event, that should bring STRONG prices.
Are you using the proceeds for different coins or just cashing out?

@Walkerfan
Thank you for the kind words! I’ve always strived to buy coins that I found both aesthetically pleasing while being technically all there.
To answer your question to why am I selling....... I’ve had a very hard time buying coins like this the past few years. I’m a strong buyer but I keep coming up short especially on toned Walkers. I love them. So do others. Maybe Im a little bit frustrated?
I’ve been buying old gold and medals. A little bit more historic in nature. I’ll take some chips off the table for a non coin endeavor as well. Those low estimates always make me nervous but I trust the folks at Legend and they have been good to me. They actually in their own way tried to talk me out of selling. Time to let others enjoy them regardless.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Some very attractive walkers.......good luck!
Your hobby is supposed to be your therapy, not the reason you need it.
Good luck with the sale Mark. I think you made the right choice with legend. I’m agonizing over the same decision myself.
Rainbow Stars
You have great coins Mark... must be hard to part with them. Cheers, RickO
Beautiful coins - hope you do well.
I too noted the low estimates and feel it is likely a marketing ploy to tempt us into thinking it’s possible to own one of your beauties!
Oh and I especially liked that wonderful type two SLQ.
Good luck with the auction, they will do right! Julie has asked me if I could consign sometime at the last show. It seems like if the material is all there, you will get a good price.

Your WLH proof collection is wonderful. Please ensure you retire the set correctly so it is on the record as one of the top sets.
I had excellent results when I sold my toned dollars via LRCA. I'm confident your coins will do quite well.
I immediately recognized some of these commems, like that amazing Hawaiian that was the topic of a thread a few years ago. I was surprised to see these coins for sale. I'm sure they will exceed all expectations.
What valley is the view of?
We overlook the San Fernando Valley.

I grew up on Valley View Rd. In Piedmont Virginia!
Mark, you have great taste in coins. Your collection is superb and I hope results exceed expectations!
A shameless bump. Feel free to bid feverishly on lots 1-48
Thank you

Lot 26:
Awesome coins, I hope Hansen bids on them with the same lunacy as those toned Mercs!
Latin American Collection
I would love to see Hansen bid on these coins, I am hopeful, but doubtful.

This is my favorite although all are superb. I hope there is very strong bidding.
When I first saw @Justacommeman share this coin on the boards, I developed a literal adrenaline dump in my chest. Not many coins have had that effect on me, but cool when it happens. It’s always been one if my favorites, out of any denom. Then I saw it on the list of lots and immediately recognized it and got all confused! Mark is bailing on it? All of them?
I love this response and explanation. It makes me look at some of my own “forevers” or rather “killers” and wonder if I have what it takes to evaluate them the same way. My emotions win the day usually. I’m a hopeless romantic for some and I’m passing on a few hot markets to sell wondering if my intense feelings should always sit at the head of the table.
Watching and learning @Justacommeman. I bet you stepped up to buy these coins and that’s never easy, I’m sure others will have to now. These toned Walkers are so rad, there may not be another opportunity to land these pieces after this sale. Hoping you have a great evening when they sell.
The toning on this magnificent GEM would make a Peacock blush!
I doubt I can best this one liner.
Meh, she uses that one all the time. She has even used sexual metaphors for some of the Northern Lights coins. I guess the green bean really does do things for some people. Here are some other "gems":
"This coin would make a Peacock go nuts during mating seasons when their colors are out."
"The sex appeal of this coin is beyond any normal persons libido."
"This coin is total coin porn all day!"
"[T]he well struck details stand out like a Warhol painting. The eye appeal is quite dramatic!"
"This piece just rains rainbow colors.... The eye appeal of this piece is like a raining group of colors-you will be blown away!"
"At one time NBC wanted to use this coin when its Peacock displayed all its colors! "
"Speaking of eye appeal-all we an say is WOW, WOW, WOW!"
That 1941-S, though........
NGC STAR material....Now, a PC 65.

Hope the results what you expected and more @Justacommeman! The one I noticed that didn't sell was the 1942 nicely toned PF-67 1942 Walker, but minus a bean. I know it's only pics, but it was hard to find anything wrong with that one.

I’ve consigned large lots of wine, sports memorabilia and coins in my time. What I learned is timing is important and that you will get a few windfalls as well as get hammered on a few things in group. This auction was no different. You have to look at on the total. I had two numbers in mind as far as expectations. A floor and a ceiling. The total number came in exactly in the middle.
Legend is a pleasure to work with. First class.
Of the few lots that were passed I’ll be happy to get back these two. Especially the Hawaiian. It’s the nicest one I’ve ever seen look wise. Rick Sear ( col jessup) once called it a monster.

those 2 were my favorites from the group.congrats on your results
Agreed. Nice coin but I wouldn't have considered consigning any coin to Legend that wasn't PCGS and CACed. After Laura's bashing of other coins, it is hard to imagine her bidders being excited over non-CAC and/or non-PCGS coins.
I think you did well over all. A few of the classic commems were passed, but that isn't terribly surprising given the market. The coins that were passed are lovely, and I'm sure you'll have no problem getting fair offers for them in the near future.
So has Mrs. Justacommeman decided what she's doing with her newly acquired wealth?
Someone got a great buy on the Lafayette at $18k. Hope it went to a collector.
All 48 coins I consigned were PCGS. 44 of them were CAC. 90% has been about my CAC success rate over the years. Of the two coins pictured above the Hawaiian was CAC and the Walker wasn’t. The other two coins that were passed it was the same. One sticker, one no sticker.

The Isabella was great buy too based on what Enzio Romano had it listed for eons ago.
I missed that one when viewing the results somehow. That is a very nice one. I'm sure we will see it in a 67 holder in the near future. Someone did very well indeed.
I’m overseas. I talked to her last night and that rascal actually downloaded the Legend App and watched the auction from work. She knows what coin buying looks like. She seemed much more interested in how the selling worked.
F, yes the Isabella was a nice buy as well. Super coin.

You my friend are a very lucky man!
With a wife who watches your coin auction and a dog that chew your slabs...
You are truly blessed that everyone in your household shares a deep appreciation for your hobby
Cam has outgrown single slabs. She’s a box of 20 girl now.

Wow she's a big pup now and gosh do you think you even sold enough just to keep her fed?
That proof Walker is gorgeous and would be a coin I'd be proud to own. Can't be a slave to CAC.
