I'm guessing that the card savers seller is a retailer in Illinois. They have always had to charge sales tax for buyers in Illinois.
Unless they have a tax id in the state or something that I don't know of. They are listed and they are shipped from Vancouver, WA.
Could be something as simple as they drop ship one single product from a supplier in IL or perhaps they warehouse inventory there?
I've ordered boxes from them awhile back and they shipped from Charlotte, NC. Just remember being shocked thinking it was gonna be a week or so and they ended up here the next day. Then I ordered cardsavers thinking it was gonna be the next day and they ended up shipping from WA and took a week. The ying and the yang.
those will probably be gone forever. they are spreading the money in different areas now like letting sellers sell tennis shoes with no selling fees, they are also offering sellers more selling promos like sell one item for only 10 dollars no matter the value
Got it. Debated on using or not. Finally pulled the trigger in a card I had on my want list forever. Luckily I live in a state that has not added tax to eBay purchases yet.

They got back with me. They said that they use fulfillment centers in many states around the country so per the law they have to charge the tax.
Makes sense on the fulfillment centers.
No sales tax in Delaware. Makes the 10% bucks more fun

Received an eBay bucks offer thus morning, good through 12/25. 10 percent earned on purchases over $25. Only 8 percent on purchases less than that.
Got it. Of course, it's 2 days too late.

after getting many of these over the past 2 years, I have not received one this quarter. : {
Bought a couple more cards. Been an expensive month but this is likely the last deal before sales tax in my state 1/1.
