I like the circulated cameo look you so often get from Barber halves and quarters.
Nothing like ripping people off.

I feel so sorry for folks that have to make posts like the above............................
Nice pile of silver...I believe you mean $15.25 face value....Cheers, RickO
I’d have to know the circumstances before I jumped to any conclusions about anyone being ripped off.
Were they purchased by the OP from an elderly neighbor lady?
I’ve personally bought junk silver from dealers at below melt that had low grade Barbers mixed in. One group that I later split with my friend who found a semi key B-dime in Fine in it.
I felt a little dumb for not checking out the lot better myself, but not cheated.
Is it me, or is posting your phone number on a public forum a good idea? It took me 35 seconds to come up with two possible addresses for that number.
That is not my #, but I'll edit the post. Thanks for the catch.
Just out of curiosity why would you sell junk silver to buy more junk silver?
I guess if you were able to sell junk at $18/oz and buy back at $15.25/oz but you would need to move quite a bit to make it worth the time.
Also not sure if I missed a post that was edited or something but confused, who got ripped off? Thanks!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
No one got ripped off. I paid seller's asking price for the coins.
I bought a gazillion Merc dimes from CU board members when Ag was $12-$14 an oz. I just sold 30 rolls at today's price. You do the math.

The seller called then junk, not sure I'd call au morgan $ & barber coins "junk"
Good deal on the Mercs, I saw a picture with maybe 40 or so. I assumed you sold those to buy the $1.85 face in the first picture. 30 rolls yeah that would be worth the effort, wow $12 silver? That's been a decade at least. Congrats!
Junk is just a term used for common 90%, I wasn't saying your coins are "junk", just industry jargon. Then someone started talking about ripping people off, I got confused and figured I must be missing something. Good deal, stack on (I think).

I like it too. Even when there is no visible Liberty, as long as the rims are nice it makes for a beautiful coin.
