1879 MS64+ and 1882 MS64+ Morgan's - Reconsideration?

I recently sent in 3 rolls of Morgan's. Do these two have a shot at MS65 in your opinion?

I think that @messydesk is spot on and I wouldn't spend the time or dollars to attempt regrading myself. If I were tempted it would be the 1879 as the price gap is bigger, however I think the cheek will hold it back.

Yes! Send them back for Reconsideration

I would say on a technical side they get into low 65 holders.

I’ve sent in over 100 coins for reconsideration over many years, with a relatively very high success rate (typically getting a plus added to a whole number). I’ve found it’s super tough getting an upgrade on Reconsideration of a plus coin to the next whole number. As a separate issue, if the coin has a CAC as a plus, you might not get it back if you are fortunate to get an upgrade to the next whole number, where if you just get an upgrade to a plus from the whole number, CAC will reapply their sticker, since plus grades are not treated differently by CAC than the whole number.

I think the 1882 has the best chance.

    The 1879......not so much.

That 82 needs a serious dip to remove the nasty and is over graded as is imo.. The 79 possibly has a shot but fees cost you more than value so why bother?

The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
