It took quite a while after I joined the forum
It’s been about 5 years now
Thanks to those who guided me, there are too many to thank individually

There is quite a bit that can be learned on here.
No! you're not!

Ask not what your country can do for you......
Because the mint sure ain't interested.
It's just a matter of time before there'll be more options for ordering an ASE from the mint than there are for ordering a coffee at Starbucks.

So what was the straw that broke the camel's back?

Personally, this is neither a reason to celebrate nor to mourn.
The Mint makes some nice stuff. If you like it, buy it. If you didn't like it, why were you buying it in the first place? And if you expect your coins to go up and are disappointed that they don't, you probably should stop buying coins all together.
I buy the coins I like from the Mint. I'm not going to boycott the Mint just because some of the stuff they make isn't appealing.
Mintage Limit: 30,000
Product Limit: 30,000
Household Order Limit: 1
Gosh, doesn't this make the 1995-W a semi-key?
Has Phillip Diehl been reincarnated?
And we don't even have to shell out an extra $1 Grand for a set of Gold Eagles to get one?
30,000 mintage limit? The collector base for Silver Eagles must be shrinking.
The Mint has finally killed the coin market.
I knew it would happen.
I would like to get one of these.....will try to hit the window on the 14th,....the flippers will be going crazy and no doubt they will hit ebay for $1000+ within hours....Cheers, RickO
Free at last!
Free at Last!
Great God Almighty, free at last!
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Many "flippers" will be thankful you are "out."

My prediction is that you will join the rush on the 14th, Icoopie. You won't be able to resist the hype or overnight profit potential. This isn't meant to be a criticism, just a guess.
I knew it would happen.
I can quit anytime I want...

Congrats and thanks for sticking around! If you like the Mint stuff, collect it. It is not overly expensive (might be considered overpriced but that is different!) and some of it is of decent design.

I think the mint puts out some nice stuff, now and again, but I have never purchased any of it (ASEs, AGEs, commems., burnished proofs, etc., etc., etc.)....Certainly too much for even the most dedicated collector to keep up with. If it's not business strike, Renaissance Era coinage, then I'm not really interested.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Me too !
Great
Now if you ever feel like you need to take a bath, post that stuff on the BST.

I bought a 1980 mint set.
Just wait a couple years and most everything will cost less on the secondary market.
Someday this won't work any longer and there will be no warning (unless you're the last one out
)
In the vast majority of cases, you will come out ahead if you buy modern U.S. Mint issues in the secondary market. If it is a “hot issue” that sells out fast and nets big profits for those who got in “on the ground floor,” it’s best to forget about those coins if they don’t really turn you on as a collector. The record shows that years later most all of those coins come down too. That is if you are old enough to wait.
Honestly, I think this is the fastest way to cure someone with this affliction.
One day soon ( hopefully ), I'll be dumping my 2 - 1000 Coin Bags of Maryland State Quarters. I have loads of 100 - Coin Bags and Mint Rolls of all the State Quarters. This Clad Hoard reminds me of the foolishness of Following Any Crowd . Thank the Lord I never Bit on the Real Estate bait.
Mostly gone!
Just think.? 20 yrs from now, there may be no phyiscial coinage.
"Oh the humanity"
What ever happened to the Franklin Mint coinage ?
