Is this a new look?

Looks like Coin Facts now has more then just the top three images on many coins.

Everything looks the same to me. What looks different?

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Just changed over 5 min ago.

I like the extra images on Coin Facts. Just click on the "See more images" below the main image.
They also worked in a magnifying glass so you don't have to open the entire image.

While the magnifier is an improvement, you didn't read this comment below from me! I just heard it from a friend.

Unfortunately, in his opinion, the magnifying glass is NOT GOOD ENOUGH. He said that In the "old" COIN FACTS you could blow up the entire coin to magnifications similar to a stereo microscope that were enough to see even the micro DIE POLISH some use to authenticated coins and die states!!! The guy sounds like an unappreciative "crank" to me, but you didn't read that here either.

I don't like it at all. I don't see anything better. Now I just have to go thru the finding where everything is........AGAIN!

    New isn't always better. :s

The revised resource section is really nice. Several major classic reference books in complete detail for free reading and the video section has a lot of valuable info on grading etc.

Well worth a look and much appreciated.

Looks nice, stuff is more or less in the same place.

The magnifying glass function is a good improvement. Before this it would show a little square off to the side magnifying where the mouse pointer was but was too small to really be able to absorb much information at once from.

OK, That guy was wrong. **THE NEW MAGNIFIER IS MUCH BETTER than the little magnified "box."

Never Satisfied with FREE gifts Dept: Ah, perhaps just a tiny more magnification? But if it costs more money to do - forget about it. What you've all done with the change has put CoinFacts back to my first place to visit for research AGAIN!

It would be nice if the CoinFacts link would include the some of the Miscellaneous items like the existing population report does. Such as So-called dollars, US Mint Medals, etc.

  • You can click the PCGS# from any population report page to get to a CoinFacts page for that coin:

That was there before. I used that all the time.

  • @DIMEMAN yes, was just pointing it out for @Goldminers who was looking to get CoinFacts on So-Called Dollars & US Mint Medals.

They had already added back some of the pictures awhile back. Ones currently in sets marked as "public" or "publish" or something like that. Still does not look like all have been added back.

Of course, as soon as you ask, everything works now.

Here are the snapshots of when it wasn’t (might be because of network congestion):

    Keeps on spinning

    Feedback:

    • I like the "first glance" feel to it.

      • The first page seems cleaner and less cluttered.
      • The PCGS logo on the header is now on the left, not in the center (always found this goofy)
      • On my laptop, I don't see an ad until 3rd scroll down
      • I like the Cert Verification Icon (but for all I know it was there previously)
    • I wish the gold, silver, PCGS3000 font/images were a little larger, but now that I know where it is, not a problem

    • The refresh function is off on my laptop. Every time I hit refresh it scrolls down, until you get to the bottom, then it stays at the bottom.
    • one day, it would be cool to have ebay auction prices included. When you click on an auction price realized, you see "Right Now on eBay". Not sure why one is included (present) and one is not (past).

I like the changes. It feels better. It feels more professional. Two thumbs up.

If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Was it an extended period of time they weren't working. It could have been related to the website update. Unless this is something that you have been experiencing periodically?

Hey, thanks! I've been around, mostly lurking. Silently fixing issues that are brought up. Sometimes I chime in if there's an issue I'm not familiar with or can't reproduce.

I noticed the issue around 1-2pm central time (didn’t use the apps previously today). Didn’t know there was an update until I read the forum.

Usually have no issues with the apps.

Please kill the magnifying glass. It's useless and annoying.

If I want close up detail allow me to click on the image and get the full size. (I realize I can do this but the magnifying glass is an awful distraction...a gimmick that serves little purpose.)

Can we have the daily gold and silver reporting back in the format as it was previously?

Continuous improvements.....I like it..... and open to commentary, so that suggestions can help smooth the process and perhaps lead to even better options. Thank you PCGS....Cheers, RickO

Let's take a poll! Fully magnified image option or partial magnified view?

  • EagleEyeEagleEye Posts: 7,677 ✭✭✭✭✭

The magnifier doesn't stay put long enough. It also comes up when I move my mouse across the screen. I say get rid of it. The full screen image is fine.

So far, one keep it and two not. That's a minuscule"poll."

I would like to be able to see the last several pages of trueviews in the updates section, as the old link appears to be deprecated. It could be located somewhere else, but I have yet to find it.

GSAs, OBW rolls, Seated, Walkers. Anything old and Colorado-focused, CO nationals.

Gonna get me a $50 Octagonal someday. Some. Day.
