Perfect timing last week with 8% bucks. Was nervous about modern from S. Korea but everything went smoothly.

A pickup using the 8% Bucks on the Uecker for my PSA run and a few previous pickups fresh back from PSA. A couple I will keep and the rest go up for sale!

Was it a new ebay seller?

GMoney2 or something to that effect out of Connecticut?

If so, his name is Gavin and a great kid! His dad is a friend and helping him with doing ebay sales. Just cut him a little slack if anything goes awry.

Just because of hopes he’d be named MVP?

Stras and Rendon were just as deserving. If not more. But if that 1st jack to the tracks off Cole wasnt enough to inspire you, then the 2nd one off him should have. And if that one didnt do it, then the one off Verlander surely should have. We’re talking Gerrit Cole and Justin Verlander. Two veteran Cy Young winners against a 20 year old kid. But still, if that didnt do it, then the mimic Breggy bat carry and subsequent bat drop should have. What about that he played in the world series on his 21st birthday and his first legal drink was that of victory champagne as a world series champ. Story book in and of itself right there.

I could nerd-stat and go all record book (for days) what all he’s done in the wild card game, the nlds, the nlcs, the world series, in Japan and really since his first ever mlb swing but I think your biggest regret won’t be that he wasn't named mvp. It will be that you only bought one.

Joking of course. I knew you were just being literal.

One more justification for buying that card that is way more impressive than any of the aforementioned jargon.

The Houston Astros did not IBB a single batter all year long. Not one. This was a goal set out from their skipper back in April and followed through all season long and well into the post-season until...

That speaks more volume than any of that other stuff.

I agree that really none of this about Soto should be a surprise to anyone. But, at the very least he should have been co-mvp. He lead in almost all offensive categories for the Nats and played in all 7 games. It's nothing against Strass, he was dominant in the 2 games he started.... but he was only a factor in 2 games. I really think they should have an award for pitcher and one for position player.

I can get on board with your player - pitcher position.

Rendon did quite a lot as well . And that's on top of saving mlb from major backlash and embarrassment from the Trea Turner call.

Agreed. And I wold say that while Soto had a slight edge in the overall numbers, Rendon was probably a better hitter in clutch situations during the series. Hell, if we look into the numbers, Eaton could be thrown into that conversation as well.

100% on Eaton. Kendrick had a few big hits too. More so in the series before, but the overall contribution of just about everyone in the line up was huge, less Robles.

    dub ya tee eff Robles?

And that makes me sad. I really like Robles. Soft spot for him since I pulled a blue refractor auto rookie of his from Bowman Chrome last year that I sent in and is now in a PSA 10 holder, lol. His defense is amazing, I just hope his hitting comes around.

Same boat. And if it wasnt for his defense, id say throw in Michael Taylor. Nats outfield is going to be something to watch for a long, long while.
