Pretty nice 1876-S Double die obverse Trade $

Not mine, but I thought some others might want to know about this coin. Looks pretty nice considering the cleaning. Has any of you heard about any history of this one before?

Dang, that’s nice. What’s the backstory?
That might have been the one being walked around the Baltimore shoe a few years back. The “au58” a LSCC member claimed to have that joe talked about. The one I saw was very dark.

Impressive the doubling you can see in her dress. That is the coin I think I miss the most.

That is a nice strong strike! Too bad about the cleaning though. I like the look of it
