Here's the slab pictures.

The reverse possibly yes. The obverse probably no because of too much chatter in the fields. So no.
I would say no....Too many distracting lines and chatter....Cheers, RickO
Better date. Nicely struck stars on the obverse. Eagle's feathers and talon a little weak on the reverse. But, it's the obverse that counts. The dings are there (after all it is a heavyweight half dollar); but, doesn't seem to have the wear. PCGS says $1400 in AU50 & $1500 in AU53. Should be a safe CAC AU50.
Seems like a fair bit of lines though I like the toning better than the 96-O
Latin American Collection
Bump!
I said no on the 96-o but I’ll say yes on this one. I think it could easily be a meh 53 but I like it as a solid 50.
Flat strike on the reverse, hit on the jaw, so, nope
BHNC #203
As a 50................yes
Successful transactions with : MICHAELDIXON, Manorcourtman, Bochiman, bolivarshagnasty, AUandAG, onlyroosies, chumley, Weiss, jdimmick, BAJJERFAN, gene1978, TJM965, Smittys, GRANDAM, JTHawaii, mainejoe, softparade, derryb, Ricko
Bad transactions with : nobody to date
To be honest I like Barbers and I like your posts. But I feel the quality of your pics (particularly the lighting) is such that I can not accurately assess grade nor CAC likelihood.
Hmmmm Many on ebay would disagree.
In your defense, I would say this is possible with any pictures.
@Tommy44 saw the coin at our little local show last weekend as I was creating this poll. Maybe he can provide an unbiased opinion of how well the pictures represent the coin? (Hope I got the right username!
)
Real original Barber halves in AU 50 will have hits on the face just like Morgans do.
@TomB This coin's toning strikes me as improper dip rinse more so than the 96-O(which I do not believe is)!
Attractive lustrous nice eye appeal AU. Not fond of dark spot on reverse but beyond that it’s nicer features make a strong point.
If u value his opinion send it in. I don’t necessarily believe that spot would prevent sticker.
I think it’s a nice b coin and for my store / shows would price at around $1650. If sticker bump up to say $1695. It would nicely fill the hole in any serious Barber 50c set / excellent for type.
LOL! Sell me 1 or 2 or 3 at your CAC price! I'll buy it!
PS! I think some cheating is going on here!
Edit to add...I say this because it is too easy to find seeing as PCGS has only graded 1 in AU50!
I very strongly feel the wrong coin has the bean!

Glad to see the 1901-O got the bean.
