Could this be the last chance? I saw the ADD TO BAG this morning for about 25-30 seconds, but it wouldn't allow me to add anything....it was just frozen. Did anyone here get one this morning??? This may be the end of a long drawn out sell-out.
I was available to add one to bag and check out. Now it does show the transaction in the order history. Now hopefully it ships!

Yes, that is the question, will it ship. My order from 8/18 is still processing. @ DotStore @bigole how about your orders from the 18th?

Of course, thousands of us were up early on first day of issue. Many of us were there in the first thirty seconds; yet, due to glitches or other matters
, still were shut out.
Kudos for your tenacity and keeping this alive.

Hmm 🤔 unless you consider me a bot for waking up before 6:30 every again than a bot. Otherwise I consider myself a human
I was asking if you used a computer program to process your order because it sold out so fast that my order was not processed and I was really quick with all my information saved. Did you already have 1 in your cart from previous attempts?

No I did not use a computer program. I did have one in the cart previously but the mint wiped it. I had to add one to bag and click a few buttons before the order was placed. I guess a 16 y/o with a computer is faster?

Ok young buck. I saw you were a young man which is why I asked if you were using a bot. I appreciate the feedback and congratulations on getting your order placed but remember to be humble in victory. I am sure luck and your processor speed in your computer was the reason you got your order placed. Not your age!😉

They do release on weekends, and I saw they released some today. It was just like a blink-of-an-eye. I tried to add it to my bag but then they were gone...
It was so fast I think there must be a BOT out there that can use an API to place orders. I went to the MINT Site and used that "LIVE CHAT" button. I don't know if it's an actual live person, or just a robotic type of program that learns how to answer questions. Anyway, I asked about an API with a User Key (Application Program Interface with a unique user-key that is used to send your account information along with what you are ordering). But the CHAT response was they don't offer that type of interface. You have to use the ordering screen.
Somehow there is someone able to scoop up these releases (or hot items upon initial release) in seconds. Maybe it's an Excel Macro -- I once created one to automate ordering of products that needed to be done quickly. I should try to revisit Macro to see if I can modify it for the US Mint site. I'm going to try and get it ready for the upcoming V75 coins in November.
Yes, it was available. For only the briefest fraction of a second. It looked right on the edge of what would be humanely possible to complete with optimal set-up. DotStore could be right. It also could just be people at the Mint sharing info with their friends and family. Even people here post how they have "friends" there who tell them things. The knowledge of what days there will be releases and precise technical information might be enough. Of course, that could also be combined with automated.
I prefer bulk release over the drip. One long term possibility if they want to continue moving in this direction is to treat certain releases as an actual lottery. Create a separate process. Make people register with KYC level verification and then do a random draw of those. Have a publicly requestable list of "winners" names & addresses after it's over.

I agree with the lottery concept or upgrade their website with a virtual waiting room. It is clear their current method is alienating the true collectors.
Virtual waiting rooms are a bad idea. Incredibly easy to game and you'd end up with even less of a chance than now. Same goes for the "verified fan" system ticket sites use. The more technical solutions are almost always counter-productive. Another possibility would be tying lottery chances in some way to non-lottery issue purchases. If you combined that with KYC stuff you'd have real humans and those who weren't only interested in these flips.
If it came up today I sure didn't catch it would have been seconds. There are clearly enough people trying this now that you can tell the site slows down briefly right at 7:30.

Just noticed the new report with the negative -- must be returns and/or cancels (or an audit of the actual sales to date). But who would return this coin??? Maybe they caught some bot who ordered a ton and they decided to cancel those orders? I hope so -- gives us a chance to try and get another...

I did see that the mint did say that the 97 that was sold on noon a while ago were all canceled. Weird. Must have been bots that used the wrong credit card
Good luck to those that are still going for it. I’m still waiting for mine to ship but I’m out now that I got one.
