NEWPs Round Up

Since relocating to a different time zone, I find it somewhat of a challenge to remain engaged, even digitally. I don't post as frequently as it seems that the forums appetite for Talers has diminished.

However, I still like them, and have been buying selectively over the past year, Here is the roundup of a few.

    Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

    Great stuff - I think I like the Salzburg cathedral the most - the old flips are pretty cool, too.

    I especially like the older Talers. Thank you for sharing!

    Great post Zohar. My taler appetite remains intact but haven't had much to show for it lately. You post has me interested in taking a look back at the Millennia collection - there were some great pieces in that sale. I dont know much about the Farouk auction back in time so another thing to queue up for some reading.

    @Zohar,

    Nice post; nice newps.

    It seems to me too that there’s only a few of us who actively chase and post about Talers. Hopefully those who are interested in such material but don’t normally post can help generate activity here by asking questions, etc.

    As for your Milan 6 Lire, please bring to NYINC to show me.

  • Very nice coins, thank you for sharing Zohar. I love the Austrian 2 taler, very expensive and rare. But that 1/2 taler has lot of pedigree it seems looking at the old envelopes. Are both envelopes for the same taler ? $40 for it , i wonder when those were written.

    I'm a taler fan, but I don't always have anything meaningful to contribute. How does being in a different time zone make it harder? I imagine I'm in a different time zone than many on here.
