A little nicer than bullion I think.

43 views and no guesses? Would it help if I said it's an old rattle holder?

One of the most beautiful gold coins ever. I myself am a proud owner of a 1910 D eagle

a lot of toning covering up any mint luster, all the chatter on the reverse brings it down to MS-61

    61.

Hard to tell from those pics but I'll guess AU58 since I see some friction in the fields. Very nice coin.

    AU55 or AU details, ex-jewelry

It's in a first generation PCGS slab and PCGS didn't slab problem coins at that time. If it were ex-jewelry PCGS would have sent it back in a "body bag".

I was one of the 43 views. My first reaction was AU55. Whats going on in front of the Eagle's face. The more I was looking at it I was thinking it is probably AU58. I finally surmised it was maybe in something like a MS62 holder but I was all over the place with my guess based on these photos. So here I am waiting to see the experts responses and the all telling grade reveal. Not much activity on this one and I figure maybe for the same reasons I point out.

I would not grade it any higher than AU-55.

I'll guess AU58 and suspect that some of what looks like wear, is in fact, patina. I like it.

I wasn't sure what that large anomaly was in the headdress, strike-through? Die crack?

I like the color on it and I'll say MS60.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

    Today 62

Well it hasn't been 24h yet but it looks like we have agreement so I'll reveal.

You are all pretty good! This picture actually looks a lot better than the ones I used for the GTG, maybe I should have used it to pull out some more 62-63 guesses ;)
Overall I found it to be pretty attractive for a 61 and the old holder is pretty cool. From what I've seen they are usually way more baggy than this in 61 grade.

I liked the looks of it, but did not want to guess and embarrass myself, lol. Really nice obverse, and just a small area of hits on the reverse. I like it!

The picture in the rattle holder makes it look better than the close-up. The close-up appeared to have a lot of rub in the facial and forehead area and on the eagle's wing in body on the reverse.

The patina made this one tricky to grade based on the images.

I would have said 55ish based off the photos. 61 congrats!
