Is it just me, or does it look like this 1838 seated dime look cleaned?
Its hard to get a good picture of what im talking about, but lady liberty seems very shiny, to me, which, in most coins that ive seen labeled as "cleaned", seems to be a common factor.
I paid $200 for it, and the seller said that he hadnt seen any sign that it had been cleaned, but im not sure...
Do you guys think i got screwed over?

Let me know if some other pictures are necessary.

Being 181 years old I would say yes at some point in it's existence. Dependent upon your definition of cleaned, I would think dipped. Which is not bad, per say. It has some great toning going on to distract from whether it is or is not. I will say that yours is a few grades higher than my own, so knowing what they are averaging is where you are at price wise. Not bad at all. A solid AU. The bottom line is, are you happy with it?
Cleaned but refining nicely, especially on the obv., reverse not as nice.
But certainly cleaned.
