To find a coin.... SOMETHING.... new and exciting.
I have a monkey on my back and no methadone to quell the shakes.

So searching in your neighborhood parking lot. All KINDS of interesting things come out of parking lots....
Check your local Coinstar. You never know what you will find.
Don't let your money burn a hole in your pocket. Make sure you buy something nice. I've been down that road too many times. I'm looking for a detour. Not discouraging you from buying but rather just giving you some friendly advice on HOW to buy.

Agree. There's some good deals there. Also, eBay which may require some looking but the fun is in the hunt.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.
There's nothing like the rush that I get when I walk into my LCS to sort through the 90% junk silver.
I have been a coin addict for a very long time!
You up for some good snipe hunting tonight? PM
I kinda enjoy doing a local flea market for the occasional fun find. I just paid 50 cents for a little dirty plastic bag containing 10 1949 Australian 3 pence silvers. At least four are AU and five nice errors. That 15 grams of 50% silver. The hunt continues. Peace Roy

Been there; done that. Didn't scratch the itch.
Going through 90% is definitely one of my favorite coin activities.
Perhaps you should visit a dermatologist.

Well what did you buy, inquiring minds want to know.

An undated Bupkis.
Wait! I have a pending question.

What are your range of choices? Type/denomination restrictions? Graded or Raw? US only? Special or commemorative issues?
Whew You did not see what I saw and I am very happy about that
It is mine
Well, it took an extra day.
Not much excitement and probably not destined for the Hansen thread, but it's still..... well.... kinda cool.
Yeah it is, it's old, used, spent and now it's in your collection. Peace Roy

LOL, the coin I bought and was worried you might have seen is 224 years younger than yours
I wish Ebay sellers accepted cans of green beans as a form of payment. I have access to a ton of cans of green beans.
No sweat. I know less about errors than I do about women.
This was more of a White Elephant.
I thought your question may have been "When is a white elephant not a white elephant?"
That's easy. When it's an error.
No, most minor errors on expensive coins are White Elephants.
But to answer my own question .....
When the White Elephant portrays an American Icon on an American Icon
I know we're only seeing one side....but I have to say, that looks pretty dang sweet for a G-6!!
Nice.
(Did you find it in a parking lot? You didn't, did you....)
Coinstar. A Coinstar machine in a 150 year old safe.
Very nice coin, topstuff. Let us know how it does at CAC.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.
Finally, it shipped.
I bought an Icon on an Icon
Not gonna send it in. It's a replacement for the pink one I used to have.
DANG! I did it again. This is awful.
I may start a G06 registry.
