Well, while not perfect, it certainly is a lot more pleasant than when it had that unsightly thing......Nice job.......

So it was MS70 followed by vinegar?

    Nice results.

Just a few faint lines left, much easier on the eyes.

Nice work removing the unsightly smudge...it does appear the surface has been slightly etched by the print/smudge, whatever it was.... Cheers, RickO

I've seen this sort of thing happen inside of a TPG holder.

    "Vou invadir o Nordeste,
    "Seu cabra da peste,
    "Sou Mangueira......."

Final result even under scope I was able to lift it without dip or abrasions. Skin looks good. Will keep in my collection but if ever sold would be honest about the print.

Last picture is under scope. If you see a print like this send it to PCGS and they can fix and reholder

It must be a coin from the distant future. :o

Acetone soak, rinse, ms70 deluted 50% , soap water soak again , ms70 full strength, rinse then the apple cider viniger q tip twerlling out towards metal flow, rinse soap again. Overnight acetone soak then air dry.

two things --- while not visible when purchased the print was always there. it is fortunate you saw it when you did or it probably would have been permanent --- and --- further proof that MS70 doesn't have an effect on red copper/bronze.

Why not just go to ms70 full strength in the beginning?

Interesting results. Are you storing this coin in the plastic holder from now on? I'd be curious to see what this piece looks like a year from now... 2 years... 5?

I want to retain a balanced coin in the most original skin as possible just minus the human kind.
