New capacity. It's coming. Governments are potentially going to have less control over monetary transactions. It's like what has happened to access to information/opinion with the Internet.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
I strongly doubt that we will achieve a total cashless society.... sure, it is growing, and will continue to expand. However, there are large segments of society that still deal in cash. And looking at the Mint and BEP, they do not seem to be curtailing production.... Cheers, RickO

If we can’t even get rid of the cent or use a dollar coin like the rest of the first world nations, what makes you think we can go cashless?

I keep cash in the wallet. But admit using the Credit Card for almost everything. Use the bonus points for hotels.

to be fair the banks have to buy new coin at face from the mint and for that notes they not only have to put up collateral for it they have to pay BEP costs.
