Yes, that is what he does. His coins are pretty much all real but usually with problems.

The coin appears to be a genuine Trade Dollar. From the strike/details and flat rims, I believe it is a proof. It has unquestionably been expertly whizzed to death.
As an interesting side note, this same coin was sold at auction by the same seller on March 31, 2019 for $2,550. Curiously, the current high bidder for this coin was an under bidder of the same coin in that auction. Apparently he has a short memory or maybe didn't check the negative feedback left by the first auction winner.
