Good dealer shout out.

There are plenty of BAD dealers out there but how about the good ones?
Who are your favorite dealers and why?
Let's hear some good stories for a change.
For me it is Pinnacle Rarities and David Lawrence rare coin.
My collection wouldn’t be the same without either, as I bought some exceptional keys from both of them. Jason Smith And Dan Duncan are both great to work with And offer quality product.

I just got a beautiful quarter eagle from Gerry Fortin. He gets my vote.
I just bought a coin from Pinnacle. They were quick to answer my questions and described the coin perfectly.
Gerry Fortin, Northeast, Americana rare coin are all excellent in my opinion.
David Kahn is a friend of mine and has been for years. well respected and liked by many.
He always stops by when he passes thru here. I cant even begin to tell you the amount of times I have used his help on something.
I also Like Harry Laibstain, and have known him for years.
reeded edge boys I have known for a good while as well Rob and Robbie. Great people.
As mention Liz (now on her own) haven't bought from them(JJT) in a good while, but did while I was working on some coins for a customer who has since passed.
Also Josh Bobbit NCNAM ( He & (his local partner) is my go to guy to move out all the unwanted crap , bullion, jewelry, etc that comes in. I do close to 1/2 million a year with them.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Mea culpa. I was thinking of Rich Uhrich Coins.
There are a few, but if I had to pick one - it would be that Andy Lustig guy.
8 Reales Madness Collection
Harry Laibstain is at the top of my list. While having not done lots of business together, he is always willing to share past experiences and knowledge with me.
Andy Skrabalak is someone I always look forward to seeing at a coin show.
Chris Napolintano is always willing to share his wealth of knowledge.
Andy Wedding, who's currently at GreatCollections is just a great guy!
Jose at Legend is always a pleasure to talk to and catch up with.
Bill Shamhart is one of the best teachers alive.
Doug Winter is great.
I like the guys at Home Shopping Network
Yes, even some with PNG membership and fancy titles.
Great to see a thread like this... certainly there are many great dealers to pick from....Rick Snow, Charmy, Rare Coins of New Hampshire... and many others.....This forum highlights good sources of coins. Trouble usually starts on sites such as ebay when people hunt bargains... out there in the 'jungle', there are predators. Cheers, RickO
Cameo,
rich U is a he11 of a great guy, never bought that much from him over the years, but a straight down to earth guy. I enjoyed talking with him at shows and looking thru his inventory!
Among the "big houses," USA Coin has given me good service. David Lawrence and Gary Adkins have also been quite good along with Harry Laibstain.
Among the token and medal dealers Steve Hayden is great and John Kraljevich.
For auctions, the people have Heritage have given honest opinons about coins and reasonable prices when I asked for personal opinions.
Brad Karoleff with Coins + in Cincinnati @BustDMs . I still remember walking around the corner at one of the big coin shows when my kids were in middle school and there is my oldest boy, sitting at Brad's table. Brad has about 20 bust half's sitting on the table. He is going through them one by one with my son. Explaining what they are, what makes a coin original, what not to buy, and showing him the Overton book. Brad was asking my son his opinion on each coin and what he liked about each coin and why. Then Brad would give his opinion. It was really fun to watch. My son had told Brad he only had $50 to spend and he wanted a bust half and he wanted to know which one of the coins he could afford. Brad let him pick one coin out of the whole lot and basically gave it away. From that moment on, my son was hooked.
At another show, my boys were volunteers for the ANA as Pages who go around cleaning the glass at everyone's tables and running errands for dealers. On one of their breaks I see them with Brad, walking around the bourse with a red book that Brad bought. Going from table to table of contributors to the red book getting it signed. Brad introduced these young boys to all these coin people and the boys felt like rock stars. It was really cool to watch. Brad did stuff like that at every show we saw him at. He is just an all around great guy who really took the time to mentor two young budding numismatists.
Brad was the president and editor of the John Reich Collectors Society and also was a co-writer of one of the bust quarter books. He also won the Harry J. Foreman Award as "The Best Coin Dealer in the United States" in 2013.
A post to use this thread as a future reference.

Jack, Chris and Jamie at Dempsey and Baxter have done so much for me, I don't know where I would be without them. They treat every customer with respect, fairly and equally. They have given me so much of their time and knowledge without charge. I couldn't possibly return all the favors they have done for me over the years.

CRO gets one of my votes to start
It just so happens two top #1 experts in their specialty are also honest, fair, and happen to also be wonderful people:
Gerry Fortin for Seated coins and Rick Snow for Flying Eagles and Indian Cents. They each have so much knowledge, “they wrote the book”.

I haven't seen a single name listed in this thread that I would disagree with.
I would add Tom Reynolds for early copper, a true scholar and gentleman.
