No stars is pretty cool!

This is my first coin of the type, the No Stars 1837 dime. It does have a nice clean look to it, less cluttered. Stars are fine, but there's something about those open fields. Anyone else think that way about this type too?

I do not have any of that type either. I agree that it is a cool design. Very nice coin. Congrats!
Many have agreed with you in the past. It also features Gobrecht's original seated liberty before Robert Ball Hughes made his inferior substitute. Note the difference in the artwork.
The Hughes Drapery type design.

Nice die cracks, too! F-101b:

I like the no stars design... something about the clean fields that makes it attractive...like a classic painting.. Cheers, RickO
Indeed a great design. I once had the half dime without stars. I kinda miss that one.

I prefer the No Stars version as well. You have a very nice example there, by the way.

The design reminds of of a little cameo. The no stars should have continued 'till the end of the series IMHO.
It's an amazingly clean look and I've always liked it.
Yours is very nice, congrats.

3stars even even better! 😃
Yup. Hold this with a flying eagle cent reverse and you’re 90% of the way to your very own miniature Gobrecht dollar.
That's a nice looking coin in the perfect grade. I love the no star dimes and my dream would be the 1838 O
Nice clean uncluttered looking dime. A nice original looking example.
No Stars... A good example of less is more.
My strategy is about collecting what I intend to keep, not investing in what I plan to sell.
Yup.
Poor man's Gobrecht.
No stars are the best!
I love these 1830s-era no stars coins!

I've always been a fan of the No Stars as well. Awesome coin.
Yes, I have always liked that type, too!
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

A more “PC” term is “baby Gobrecht.”
I too like the clean design. I also like the draped bust copper coins with uncluttered fields.
Congrats on getting this piece!

I also love the looks of the clean fields on this particular piece.
VERY nice
I like it looks like a cleaner design not being cluttered with the stars

I agree completely, love that simpler, leaner look.
