One of the best things about this forum is getting to see some of the cards that end up in the SMR in real time and UFFDAH has posted so many show stopping cards since he has joined.

Great article and wishing you continued success.

I want to hate you out of jealousy, but I just can't. Solid collection. Have loved that brown since you announced the upgrade from PSA! Great stuff brother!

Thanks for the link in the OP and congrats to Chris. It's always fun to see when he posts a new pickup. For some reason I am smitten with his '52 Bowman Stan Musial, and it's nice to see the group photos in the article.

Stone, pretty sure Star Bucks(Starbucks) is one word, LOL. Chris, unbelievable collection!! Over the years have you kept a record of what you paid for the cards? I would bet your "investment" has outgained any other type investments!!

@ElvisP - big paper gain thus far.

@Frozencaribou - will post a pic of the Dryden when I get back to the office. I think the Dryden rookie is not only a great hockey card but an epic card in all of collecting. It's a must have card in my opinion.

Very nice story. I enjoy reading about our board members and am in awe of their cards and pursuits. Nicely done by the author too.

Wow. Most impressed by the lack of print spots on the image and yellow background. What a beautiful card! Thanks for sharing.

    Great collection Chris (UFFDAH)
I have always wondered how one would consistently acquire these gems. I assume most of these cards in Gem Mint 10's rarely hit the market. You must do a lot of homework and networking to find them!

Great write up and beautiful collection. Just out of curiosity, what is the alteration on the 52 Mantle?

  • Huskies11Huskies11 Posts: 312 ✭✭✭

Congrats @UFFDAH ! I read the article not knowing it was you, but it makes sense now. It was really refreshing to see someone with a collection similar to my own (all over the place). Keep bringing the heat in the monthly pickup threads,

I'm a little speechless right now. I noticed this post this AM while sitting in my Turkey hunting blind. I was out just for fun this AM watching and listening because I got a nice Tom Gobbler yesterday....

Please allow me to ask a very serious question... Why the heck do you need a hunting blind to catch a freakin' turkey??
